Justin Tuck is dressed and on the active roster for the Giants’ game in Tampa this afternoon. Of course, it remains to be seen if - - or how much - - he’ll actually play. The injured defensive end, who suffered a partially torn labrum in his left shoulder last Sunday night in Dallas, will at least be in uniform though and presumably wearing a specially fitted harness for his left shoulder. According to sources familiar with his injury, Tuck had been told he’d need at least two weeks to fully recover, though he was told from the start that he could continue to play if he could tolerate the pain. Tuck had guaranteed he’d play today in the hours after he suffered the injury in Dallas, and a source said he had been lobbying all week behind the scenes. It was a tough call for the coaching staff, though, because Tuck could make the injury worse by playing and what he really needed more than anything was a couple of weeks of rest.
