Big news for Gang Green today as the Detroit Free Press is reporting that Jets linebacker Jonathan Vilma was in Detroit today for a physical. How does that work exactly with a player rehabbing from surgery? Are they just looking for structural stability? I don't have the answer, though according to Vilma's web site, he has begun jogging and hopes to be running at full speed in about a month. According to JetsCentral, Gang Green has expressed an interest in Lions nose tackle Shaun Rogers, who has also been linked the Broncos. This report would mesh with an earlier one that Denver had explored a trade for Jets defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson, whom the Jets would be looking to replace at the nose if they were able to acquire Rogers. Naturally the Broncos, like the Jets, would prefer Rogers to Robertson, however evidently Denver has targeted Dewayne as a backup plan should the Jets snare Rogers from Detroit.

As a Broncos fan, I would like either Rogers or Robertson because we could use all the help a D-Line that we can get. I think if Denver does get either one, it will vastly improve the D-Line and Denver would a solid line with one of them plus Elvis Dumervil and Marcus Thomas
  • as a Jets fan im pissed that there letting Vilma leave, Man-dumbass needs to change his system not the players, Vilma is a stud who could be a top 5 linebacker. But who would want one of them on there team?
  • Mangini will not change anything, plus why would you for just one player? I say he gets delt to the Lions and we get some good draft picks which is what we really need. I'm a Vilma fan, but, he just is not what we really need.
