Found March 26, 2009 on The Viking Age:
It’s possible that you’re all bracketed-out by now…but if you’re not, you should definitely head over to NFL Mocks and vote in Fansided.com sports network’s Worst Man Drafted tournament.  64 of the biggest draft busts of all-time - 2 from each team; neat how that worked out eh? - have been selected, seeded and pitted against each other in epic internet warfare.  For the Vikings‘ two entrants, I selected Dimitrius Underwood and Troy Williamson.  Underwood is a #8 seat in the East, and is up against the #9 seed Mike Williams.  Williamson, meanwhile, is the #9 seed in the north, and is pitted against #8 Rick Mirer.  The four #1 seeds are Steve Emtman, Tony Mandarich, Lawrence Phillips and, of course, the immortal Ryan Leaf.  And trust me…I am absolutely not encouraging you to go over there and vote for either Viking.  In fact, I’m encouraging you not to vote for them.  Cause who wants one of their guys making it deep into the worst draft busts tournament?  Vote for Mandarich instead.  Or Curtis Enis or one of the awful wide receivers the Lions took.  Anyone but Underwood or Williamson. (And just be glad this isn’t the Worst Trade of All-Time tournament…cause I think we know who would win that one.)

Who was the biggest bust in NFL history?

March Madness has begun! Never mind the NCAA tourney, we’re talking football in March. Thanks to all of you who voted for the worst bust in Raider history. The majority went with Todd Marinovich, that was a given as he grabbed over 70% of the vote. In a distant second was a man still on the Raider roster, Michael Huff. Now that you picked the two worst busts to ever wear Silver...

Stray Arrows: Pacman To K.C.?

Nashville’s The City Paper reports that the Tennessee Titans have given Pacman Jones permission to seek a trade. If we strikeout on free agent corners and DeAngelo Hall’s price tag becomes too high, then shouldn’t we consider this? Troy Williamson–who went one pick after Jo...

Forget What Lions Did; It's What They DIDN'T Do That Was Lovely

I'm sure some of it wafted over to you, like something foul-smelling from the kitchen garbage, in the first quarter. The Lions capped off a 99-yard drive by ... throwing an interception into the end zone. Maybe you didn't get it that badly until Roy Williams made like Mike Williams and let an easy catch spurt out of his hands, into those of a timely Raiders DB -- late in...

Charles Rogers to Become a Tight End...in Jail

Well, maybe. (Hi! I'm back!!!) When uber-genius Matt Millen became general manager for the Lions, many critics gave him hell for drafting three wide receivers in the first round in a row (and take a look at where each of them is now...): 2003: Charles Rogers, WR, Michigan State (#2 overall) 2004: Roy Williams, WR, Texas (#7 overall) 2005: Mike Williams, WR, USC (#10 overall...
