The Counselor is IN:

Here are the Week 12 fantasy injuries and my commentary. Starting this week I will start posting a Thursday's edition along with the regular Weekend edition. The Thursday Edition will list injuries for the Thursday's game only.

Thursday's Game

Bengals:
WR Andre Caldwell
is probable with a foot injury.

WR Antonio Chapman was placed on the Injured Reserve with a cervical injury.

QB Carson Palmer has an elbow injury and is out. Palmer's injury has many fantasy owners frustrated.

Steelers:
TE Health Miller
is questionable with a high ankle injury. There is speculation that Miller might be able to go on Thursday. I would check on his status at game time before starting him.

RB Rashard Mendenhal
has been placed in Injured Reserve for his fractured right arm.

Look for the Weekend update for the rest of the games.

Big Ben Brings Big Mouth To Gunfight And Wins

Ben Roethlisberger told ESPN THE MAGAZINE that he has a bodyguard with him at all times (and it's not Steelers LT Trai Essex). The reason? Not what we thought Big Ben feared most - cheerleaders - but something a little more serious: gun-toting lunatics who might make him the next NFL player to ...

Lewis: Change Needed for Me to Stay

Yes, Chad Johnson getting himself benched a?" whatever the reason a?" was dumb, irresponsible and yet another reason for fans to criticize a player who has been a genuine horse's arse since last January. But nfl.com's Thomas George is on the money when he says:There are at least ocho-cinco ...

Thursday Night NFL: Steelers v. Bengals!

Here's what I love about WCWP's Jordan Lauterbach. I send him a text message asking for his pick in tonight's game, and he sends me back a score. The guy is so intricate. That's why he's the best producer we've ever had. We've had three. So, that's not a worthless compliment.Anway, All three of ...

Ward Talks About Hit on Rivers; Says He’ll Be Ready for Bengals

Let the trash talking begin for the Steelers, who on Thursday night will host the Cincinnati Bengals, a team they have beaten badly once already this season, 38-10. The talking has to do with Hines Ward, and a hit that took place during that game on Ocotober 19th when he crushed rookie LB Keith [...]

Steelers Defense Does in Bengals in 27-10 Win in Pittsburgh

While the Pittsburgh Steelers slept walked through the first quarter on Thursday night, the one thing this years version of this team has is a defense that can allow them to get off to a slow start. Even spotting the lowly Cincinnati Bengals a 7-0 lead 12 minutes into the game, the Steelers ...

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE

Thanks to the many folks who answered my request for a screen shot of the guy who wore the strange combination of Steeler sweatshirt/Bills hat to the Monday Nighter in Buffalo this week. I was unaware that it actually ran on Yahoo's Shutdown Corner. Now that that's out of the way, I can assume we'll return to debating the wisdom of buying a Limas Sweed jersey at this...

You Gotta Know When to Hold 'Em...

Now that the blood pressure of some bookies has lowered to a safe level, and a few kneecaps have had a chance to heal, let's take a quick look at what exactly transpired over the weekend between the Steelers and Chargers. The referees made an unfortunate mistake when they ruled against Troy ...

We Could All Use a Good Chest Bump

A tie against the lowly Bengals, whacked-out play calling, players not knowing the rules of OT, and coaches yelling at players. It's been quite a week. The ultimate cure-all would be a victory over the Ravens, but in the short-term, how about a nice chest bump....
