The locker room interviews after a game inevitably come down to judgment calls. In the case of last Sunday, mine was simply: Do I wait for S Bob Sanders to finish with his treatment in the trainer's room? I waited. It was an early game. I thought it was worth getting a word from him. Plus, I wanted a comment for the Antoine Bethea story I wrote for Wednesday's paper. Any chat with Sanders, because of his injury history, has to include a question about his health. I know he hates answering questions about injuries, but as I explained to him when I asked about it with my second query, I'm just doing my job. Sanders gave a curious response. Better put, he volunteered a curious comment about how his knee "held up." That left me with a bit of a worrisome feeling, like the knee is still a concern and will continue to be.
