DECLINED:
Ever wonder why sports uniforms were invented? Yeah, I'm sure that being able to identify who's on your team and who isn't is pretty helpful (someone should really explain that concept to Rex Grossman)...but I think there's a deeper reason.
My theory is that athletes are told what to wear at work because long ago someone realized the horrid sins these people were capable of committing against fashion. Now, I wasn't exactly voted "best dressed" in high school, and by no means am I a fashion guru. But if my career depended on my public image and I had some cash to blow, I sure as hell would hire somebody who had some fashion sense to dress me. Because superhuman athletic ability just doesn't excuse disasters like these:

Looking Back at the Bears, Ahead to the Eagles
Oops, I missed the Bear game entirely in this space.
After the Viking game, I wasn't too optimistic about going into Chicago. My hope was that our defense would be able to force Rex Grossman into having on those games like Eli had against Minnesota the week before. Grossman looked very go...
What a week in the NFL!
The Browns and Bengals get together and score about 1,751 points....okay, maybe not that much but you get the point. Philly and NO drop to 0-2 and the mighty Texans reach 2-0 for the first time in their existence. The Boo calls are ringing down on Rex Grossman, Donavon McNabb, and Luke McNown. Cou
Daunte Culpepper: Would the Chicago Bears consider signing him?
The Chicago Bears have a QB competition already with Rex Grossman and Kyle Orton, but behind those two QB's there isn't much.
They could go after veteran QB Daunte Culpepper and make this QB race even more interesting.
The only negative is Daunte has been plagued by injuries ever since he left Minnesota. Also, he turned down a 1 year/ 1 million dollar offer from the...
Madden 2009 Releases Team And QB Ratings
The video game world is abuzz today with the release of some of the rankings for Madden 2009. The early indications are that Madden did a pretty good job with the team rankings but the QB ones are a little jacked up. First the teams via Shutdown Corner...Everything looks pretty good, but there's no way the Vikings should be a 90. I'll let the Eagles be ranked higher than...
Beyond Round 1: QB Joe Flacco
Every day this week, we will look past Round 1 of the upcoming NFL Draft and focus on some other prospects. The Chicago Bears could still go after a quarterback even if they re-sign Rex Grossman, so could a small-school signal-caller like Delaware's Joe Flacco be the next QB of the future?
Free Agents 2008: Quarterbacks
The short list of quarterbacks expected to hit free agency: Rex Grossman (Age 27) – Chicago; 54.2% comp, 1,411 yards, 6.3 avg., 4 TD, 7 INT (7 games) Daunte Culpepper (Age 30) – Oakland; 58.1% comp, 1,331 yards, 7.2 avg., 5 TD, 5 INT (6 games) Josh McCown (Age 28) – Oakland; 58.4% ...
Well here we go. Fanbois win again. (BY DANL)
2005 - Bears have a great season under Kyle Orton. Kyle is inexplicably pulled to appease fanbois who say that Rex Grossman was this [ ] close to being maybe in consideration for a Heisman.
2006 - Bears, under coach Lovie “Rex’s Daddy” Smith almost win a superbowl……in ...
Quarterback Controversy: San Francisco 49ers vs. Chicago Bears
Chicago - Rex Grossman is out; Kyle Orton is in.
Everyone has to be believing Alex Smith is making room for J.T. O'Sullivan in San Francisco.
But is either team in any better shape at quarterback than they were last year? They are possibly worse off due to the lack of experience come opening day.
UFL calling?
There are some pretty household names when it comes to quarterbacks this free agent period, that haven’t been signed to deals.
Jeff Garcia, Byron Leftwich, Rex Grossman, Kyle Boller, and our very own J.P. Losman.
Now it doesn’t surpise me that Losman is on that list. Last year before the infamous Jets game he said he needed [...]

Chicago Bears Player Preview: Marcus Harrison
Today i will preview Chicago Bears 3rd round pick Marcus Harrison on Chicago Bears Player Preview.
He reminds me of a more athletic Tank Johnson, who we all know had his share of problems. This kid was a risk coming out of the draft because of his off the field issues, but he could easily overcome that by playing alongside Tommie Harris. The only other negative is...
Bears Ink Extension with Desmond Clark
The Chicago Bears signed tight end Desmond Clark to a two-year contract extension, reports the Associated Press.
Clark will be one of the top options in the Bears' passing game next season. Bernard Berrian will become a free agent and Muhsin Muhammad was cut by the team already. Rex Grossman was jus...
