I HATE when players come in to training camp and need surgery right away. If there was some issues there, then get the surgery in February after the season, not waiting until the beginning of the season.

McGahee has always been a player that's lazy in the offseason and reports to camp in not-so-great physical condition. The same thing happened last year. Think back to how many times we had to take him out of games, because he was sucking for air. Willis is a guy who plays hard and turns it on when it really matters and tries to cruise the rest of the time. You'd like the guy to have a better work ethic, because we're paying him so much.

How many years is he under contract? I can't remember: three or five total?

He signed a 7- year deal in spring of 2007, but the last two years are options (essentially a 5-year deal). He'll receive a option bonus after this year of $1.5 million. Granted, NFL contracts aren't guaranteed like they are in baseball.
