With Tapeh gone who is Next?

With Tapeh gone the Eagles are in need of a Fullback. The only Fullback on the Eagles roster is Jason Davis a 2-year veteren from Illionios. Some key fullbacks that are Free-Agents right now are Jason Finn a former Giant, Dan Krieder a former Steeler, and Leonard Weaver a former Seahawk (Restricted Free- Agent). The best option for the Eagles would be Dan Krieder a proven veteran (8 year pro). If you can sign him for a 2 year deal, then they would be set.

Weaver's stats from last year: 33 carries 146yds 1 TD. Didn't catch many Seahawks games but if he can block, too, that's a pretty good year from a FB. Krieder took a back seat to Carey Davis in Pittsburgh. My B.S. Eagles wishlist would include drafting Owen Schmitt.Aint gonna happen.

Jason Davis will be the fullback next season. The eagles were very impressed with him last offseason so much so that they said he outplayed tapeh but didn't have enough knowledge of the playbook to get on the field. They kept him on the practice squad all season to get a better knowledge of the playbook. He will be the fullback, they won't waste money on a position they don't care about, the fullback is the lost position of the NFL, especially for a team like the eagles who run the ball more from a single back look than with a 2 back look.

Jason Davis better know the damn playbook!!!! We have a lot of money in that backfield, can Davis protect Mcnabb and WESTY????

you cant be a veteran when your only in the league for 2 years

When I was listening to WIP yesterday this question came up and Ike Reese was saying that he thinks Jason Davis will be a great fullback and great in the eagles system. He said he can catch, block, and even run and pound in short yardage. I don't know how everyone considers Ike Reese, but I think he is pretty credible and I will take his word for it.

You know what im thinking ... Tony Hunt. Simple .. hes 6'1 233lbs. Mike Alstott is 6'1 244lbs. What did they bring him in for.

hopefully lorenzo neal!!!!!!!

c'mon trot...neals OLD how many backs do you know that have played in the league for more than 15 seasons? He can't have much left. Tony Hunt aint the answer either guys, hes not a good blocker despite how big he may be. The draft will tell us how much faith they have in Davis to be the guy.

whatever man, he can still play, he's a short term solution, he's a great teammate and he would be CHEAP!!!!!!
