San Diego Chargers
The Indianapolis Colts will face the San Diego Chargers this week and their quarterback Philip Rivers. Rivers is a above average quarterback who provides a very good test for the Colts' pass defense. He also offers something the Colts have not faced this year, a real top 10 passing quarterback. The last few years, many were complaining about Philip Rivers' declining play. He had costed the Chargers several games in the 4th quarter and threw a total of 35 interceptions in 2011 and 2012. It's clear by watching this year, that even with declining talent around him, that he's back. His passer rating is back to over 110, and already has 13 touchdowns in 2 games. With the exception of what was clearly an outlier game last week, he had been pretty much stellar the whole season.Rivers is different from the other quarterbacks the Colts have played. Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick and Terrelle Pryor are all running/scrambling quarterbacks. None of those guys compare to Rivers ...

The San Diego Chargers have begun the season at 2-3. They beat the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles, but lost to the Houston Texans, the Tennessee Titans, and the Oakland Raiders. Looking at who they have beat and lost to, it looks as if the Chargers have had a pretty bad season. However, the losses to the Texans and Titans could have gone either way and for most...
The Indianapolis Colts placed running back Ahmad Bradshaw on their injured reserve list this past week for the neck injury he suffered against the Jacksonville Jaguars in week four. At first, it looked like the veteran back would only miss a couple of weeks, but the neck didn’t heal properly and Bradshaw elected to have surgery to repair the damage. This decision is not only...

#colts Dwayne Allen said recovery time for hip surgery is 3-4 months. Looking forward to being ready for OTAs in 2014.

Welcome to this Week 6 edition of Mikey O Knows. I am so sorry to all Julio Jones owners, tough to lose a player of that caliber, but don’t give up just yet! Anything can happen in fantasy football! Heck, Brandon Jacobs just turned back the clocks on Thursday. Here are some other players that can fill in and do an admirable job! Also, a happy Canadian Thanksgiving to all. I am...
Young Talent and “Old” Talent
It might not hold the same intensity level of the Patriots rivalry but the Colts and Chargers have had their share of climatic games over the past decade. Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has played a major role in many of the Chargers/Colts recent matchups and he acknowledges the new faces. “Obviously there’s some veterans that have...
Indianapolis Colts (4-1) at San Diego Chargers (2-3)
I was dead wrong about the Colts this season. In my defense, the logic was sound. The Colts were not an 11 win team last year. 7 of their 11 wins came by a touchdown or less against a team that finished with a record of 7-9 or worse. They had a terrible offensive line and defense and finished the season 25th in DVOA, which I think...
The Indianapolis Colts are already the pseudo-champions of the NFC. They have won at San Francisco and beat visiting Seattle last week. The 49ers and Seahawks opened the season as NFC Super Bowl favorites, and Seattle still is at 11-2 to win the conference.
However, the Colts are, of course, in the AFC, where the offensively unstoppable Denver Broncos reside and are 5-1 overall...
Concluding the Week 6 NFL schedule will be the Indianapolis Colts and the San Diego Chargers on “Monday Night Football,” which looks as if like it’ll be a high scoring contest. The Colts (4-1) will be coming into Qualcomm Stadium with a little more swagger, after a big win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5. The Chargers (2-3), for the time being, will be trying to get things...
Chargers running back Ryan Mathews (concussion) hasn't been cleared to practice, according to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune.Fantasy Spin:Mathews suffered a concussion Sunday night at Oakland. The Chargers play Monday night against the Colts so he has an extra to get ready for the game, but we don't expect him to play. Danny Woodhead has been stealing snaps...
After man-handling the 49ers and the Jaguars, and winning a tough contest with Seattle, the 4-1 Indianapolis Colts head west for Andrew Luck’s Monday Night debut against the San Diego Chargers. The Colts need to stay focused for this game, and not focus too far ahead to the monumental showdown against the Denver Broncos. The Colts will need to do three things to make sure Andrew...
Andrew Luck won't need permission to stay up for the second half of "Monday Night Football." Luck will make his Monday night debut when he and the AFC South-leading Indianapolis Colts visit Philip Rivers and the enigmatic San Diego Chargers. It'll be a big deal for Luck, especially if the Colts (4-1) beat the Chargers (2-3).

This week’s KIAF NFL Power Rankings have the Colts squarely in the hunt for the title of Best Team in the NFL. Their performances over the last three weeks have all been statements to the rest of the league as to what kind of team this could be.
Let’s see what the KIAF Writers Top Ten looks like this week.
1. Denver Broncos — After surviving a...
Last week: 19 (-4)
Philip Rivers threw 3 interceptions against the Raiders in a loss, but it was inevitable that he’d starting throwing interceptions at a higher rate, after throwing just 2 in his first 4 games. However, he’s still been very impressive, completing 73.7% of his passes for an average of 8.5 YPA, 13 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions, as the offense moves...
Coming into this National Football League (NFL) season, I was one of the people who didn't think the Indianapolis Colts could build on what they did last season. For those who might have forgotten, the Colts made the playoffs with an 11-5 record after going 2-14 in 2011. After 2011, the team decided to part ways with franchise quarterback Peyton Manning and replace him with Andrew...
January, 2008. Every time someone mentions that the 2006 team was our best shot to win it all, I remind them of how soft that team was in the head. They were far from poised and resilient and it showed. Of course, if they had just kept feeding LaDainian on 1/14/07 maybe things would have turned out differently. One of the many cruel ironies of the San Diego Chargers is that...
