If there weren’t enough problems with the offensive line trying to plug holes. The defensive line just got quite a bit lighter losing Ty Warren for the season. He hits the injured reserve with a reported torn hip labrum, which we’ve learned more about since A-Rod and Mike Lowell. The list of potential replacements that are currently rostered is lengthy and pretty underwhelming in my evaluation. It appears that Gerard Warren will probably get the longest look there to start, with Damoine Lewis and Myron Pryor in the rotation. Mike Wright looks to be the recipient of a full-time starting gig now.
Here’s what gets me about this situation – this could have been a little easier to swallow had the Patriots re-signed Jarvis Green. I know that Jarvis wanted the opportunity to start, and that easily could have been presented here in New England. He could have been in a rotation with Warren and Wright where he would have seen plenty of snaps. Instead, the Pats let him ...
