The Jets Blog:
The infamous” Johnny Dallas” is back with another batch of stats from his personal archive to shed a little light on the Jets offensive ineptitude. Both the Jets and the Ravens are teams with great running games and young, perhaps somewhat under-achieving quarterbacks that have decided to abruptly go away from their run-first philosophy to having the 8th and 9th most passing attempt in the league, respectively. However, the two teams find them on almost complete opposite sides of the spectrum, the Ravens are poised to get a first round bye...

RIP Season: Sanchez Awful in 19-17 Loss
I have spent plenty of time defending Mark Sanchez this season and the previous two ones he has been the Jets quarterback. Yet, his three consecutive awful performances, culminating with one of the worst of his career today has me fully off the bandwagon. He gets next season with a new offensive coordinator and a new system but next year is a complete make or break season for him...
Sanchez’s resolution: Erase doubts for 2012
MIAMI — The only thing more powerful than a first impression is a last impression.
Mark Sanchez needs to make a positive last impression to the 2011 season to ease the Jets’ concerns about him as they move into 2012.
That makes today’s regular-season finale for Sanchez and the Jets...

Peyton can cure Jets' & Sanchez ills
I t would be the Jets’ version of the Dream Team in 2012: Peyton Manning starting at quarterback for their win-now team and Mark Sanchez backing him up, absorbing every little piece of information he could from Eli’s big brother.

Jets lose to Dolphins, miss playoffs
The New York Jets will sit out the playoffs, and that's guaranteed.
The Jets failed to fulfill coach Rex Ryan's pledge to win a Super Bowl title, with Sunday's 19-17 loss at Miami eliminating them from the chase for an AFC wild-card berth.

Fantasy Spin:
Quarterback Mark Sanchez was erratic as he completed 21 of 32 passes for 207 yards with two touchdowns against three costly interceptions. He chucked seven interceptions over his last three outings. Shonn Greene was bottled up for 55 yards on 14 carries, to the chagrin of fantasy owners. Tight end Dustin...

Jets lose to Dolphins: Miss playoffs
Rex Ryan and the Jets: Miss playoffs
It’s official, the Jets have missed the playoffs in 2012 after an up and down season. The Jets needed to win today against Miami and hope for a Titans loss, a Bengals loss and either a Raiders or Broncos loss. Well, the KEY to the entire playoff scenario was getting the job done in Miami, which the Jets did not do, thanks much in part to...
One Last Chance for the Jets to Save Some Face
There are a million questions swirling in the air about the Jets right now.
Will Brian Schottenheimer be back for another season as offensive coordinator? Can Mark Sanchez ever show progress toward becoming a quality NFL quarterback? Is it possible for Rex Ryan to be humbled?
That's just a taste of the uncertainty that's looming over the team as they head into the final...
