I am sick of these whiny crybabies. Just how many millions does a person need to live comfortably? We have made these athletes believe that they are something special. Tiger Woods said it himself, and that is what ruined his life and career. Go try to find a real job like everyone else, instead of pretending you are really worth the money you seek.

New Orleans Saints
There has been enough drama in New Orleans Saints camp this off season from “Bounty Gate” to players suing the NFL to who will be running the team while Sean Payton is suspended for all of 2012 season and his temporary replacement Joe Vitt , will also be serving his six game suspension. The issue that should be the biggest concern for the Saints organization is how will the current standoff with All-Pro QB drew Brees will end.
When Drew Brees came to the Saints back in 2006, after playing his first five seasons with the San Diego Chargers, he came to a team in dire need of a leader as they moved back into their stadium after the destruction of Hurricane Katrina in late August 2005. Hurricane Katrina had moved the team out, as the Superdome was turned into a disaster relief location where residents called home for the 2005 season. It also was shut down for some structural work.
Brees decided to sign with the Saints over the Dolphins after the Saints felt his right should surg...

Drew Brees has a real job. He is more than just a quarterback and he has done a great deal for this city. He plans to open a business in New Orleans with his wife which will bring jobs to New Orleans. Is he worth the 20 million or so a year that he wants? Probably not, but he is definitely worth more than the franchise tag. New Orleans wants him back so bad that a trust fund has been set up to ensure he stays in the city

Saints fan raising money for Brees
A Saints fan has decided to try and raise money to help pay quarterback Drew Brees who's in the middle of contract talks with the team.
The Saints’ Jermon Bushrod on Bounties, Brees & His Big Ole Heart
To say this has been a “difficult” offseason for the Saints would be as big an understatement as saying T.O.’s career is a “little bit” over. (I mean c’mon, a Dr. Phil “Baby Mama” episode, Terrell??) This offseason has been one dog fart after another. And if it has affected you as a fan, you’ve got to know it has been a total suck-fest for the players. So imagine...
Report: Saints add signing bonus to Ivory's contract
The New Orleans Saints modified the contract of running back Chris Ivory by adding a $72,900 signing bonus to the final year of his contract, NFL.com reported Sunday. The team added the signing bonus to make up for the money he lost while on the physically unable to perform list last season. No years were added to the contract, and Ivory will be a restricted free agent after next...
30-Year-Old Randall Gay Won't Return to NFL, Has Concussion Symptoms
Randall Gay last played in 2010 for the New Orleans Saints, helping them win their first ever Super Bowl.Gay didn't play at all in 2011 and probably will not return ever again. According to the Boston Herald, the 30-year-old has been experiencing with concussion symptoms that will now force him to hang up the cleats. “I can’t play anymore. I wish I could, but I’m still...
Saints Nation: Has Sedrick Ellis Lived Up to Expectations?
A guy that's been mostly under the radar in his 4 years as a member of the Saints, mostly due to all the other big names on the roster, is former 1st round pick Sedrick Ellis. When the Saints took Ellis 7th overall in the 2008 draft, trading up from the 10th slot and giving up a 3rd round pick to the Patriots to get him, expectations were extremely high. Ellis, at the time, was...
Saints Nation: The Top 10 "Most Valuable" Saints in 2012
For the fourth consecutive year, I give you the Saints ten most valuable players going into the season. Last year's top 10 featured two players no longer on the team (Carl Nicks at #2 and Tracy Porter at #7). This year you will notice three newcomers in the top 10. Here are my top 10 players going into 2012:
1. Drew Brees: For the fourth straight year Brees is listed atop...
How Many Games Can New Orleans Saints Win Without Drew Brees in 2012?
The New Orleans Saints are getting into OTAs without their head coach. Once the regular season begins, they will get underway without their offensive coordinator and general manager as well, causing a less than favorable start to the upcoming NFL campaign. If they also begin the year without their top overall player, can the Saints possibly expect to contend in a challenging division...
Saints RB Chris Ivory Has His Contract Modified
The New Orleans Saints have modified the last year of running back Chris Ivory's contract, giving him a signing bonus that essentially makes the player whole for time lost during the 2011 season, according to league sources. Ivory, the team's leading rusher in 2010, missed 10 games last season because of various injuries. The $72,900 bonus means, in effect, Ivory will be...
Saints fan starts a website to pay Drew Brees
Getty Images
A long time New Orleans Saints season ticket holder has started a website called “Fans Step Up,” in order to raise money for quarterback Drew Brees, in an attempt to keep him in New Orleans.
“Drew Brees has been an incredible ambassador for the City of New Orleans. Not only in his accomplishments on the football field, but in his charitable and community endeavors...
Saints fan Tony Le Mon starts website asking for donations to pay Drew Brees
When the all-too-common argument of athletes being overpaid arises, I tend to always side with the athlete. While $20 million a year seems like an astronomical amount of money to pay someone for playing a game, it is the basic concept of supply-and-demand at work. The money comes from somewhere, and if the people shelling it out didn’t think they were going to get a return on their...
NFLPA Seeking Clarity On Saints QB Drew Brees' Franchise Tag Status
The NFL Players Association asked an arbitrator Tuesday to determine whether New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been hit with the franchise tag for a second time, according to sources. The Saints placed their exclusive rights tag on Brees earlier this offseason and Brees' first team, the San Diego Chargers, placed the tag on Brees in 2005 after his rookie contract...
Saints Sign UDFA OL Scott Winnewisser
The New Orleans Saints have signed offensive lineman Scott Winnewisser, an undrafted free agent from Cal Poly, Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Monday. Winnewisser, 6-5, 301, joins the team after participating in the Saints rookie mini-camp. He played mostly at tackle but moved to right guard in his senior campaign at California Poly State University...
Saints Fan Starts Site Seeking Contract Donations For QB Drew Brees
To say it's been a frustrating year for New Orleans Saints fans would be an obvious understatement. Their team lost a playoff heartbreaker to the San Francisco 49ers in January and then lost a few key free agents before being buried under a pile of Bountygate penalties. But apparently seeing unsigned Drew Brees miss any more offseason workouts -- and perhaps hold out into training...
Report: Drew Brees would make over $23 million in 2013 under the tag
Getty Images
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, if John Clayton’s calculations are correct, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees would make $23,574,240 million in 2013, if he’s given the franchise tag for the third time in his career.
There isn’t a single player in the NFL that’s ever made that much money in one season. It looks like the Saints don’t have that...

An arbitrator has met with the NFL and the players' union in a dispute over Commissioner Roger Goodell's authority to punish players in the New Orleans Saints bounties scandal.
The NFL Players Association has challenged Goodell's power to impose penalties for what the league says was a three-year bounties program that targeted specific players.
The union has asked arbitrator...
