PLAYERS: Peyton Manning
TEAMS: Denver Broncos
The NFL may need a new location to fill the bid for Super Bowl L, now that the Dolphins chances were ruined by the state legislature in Florida. The league wanted upgrades or a new stadium in Miami, and because the Dolphins can’t currently public funding, it looks like the Denver Broncos are going to step in and take a shot at land the Big Game. The NFL is not afraid of bad weather. The Super Bowl will be played next Feburary in New Jersey at MetLife stadium, and it appears that 49ers are now the favorites to land the Super Bowl in 2016. But the Broncos want to get in on the process for future games, according to Mike Klis at the Denver Post: Miami has hosted 10 of the first 47 Super Bowls — including the two that Peyton Manning played in with the Indianapolis Colts — and was bidding with San Francisco for Super Bowl L in 2016 with the losing bid city to compete with Houston for Super Bowl LI in 2017. So it looks good for San Francisco to host L and Houston to host LI. Which leaves Miami kicked back to LII (2018). Everyone [...]

Broncos WR Eric Decker gets teammate Orlando Franklin with pie in the face at Rockies game (VIDEO

Peyton Manning is a puppetmaster on the football field.  He walks up to the line, reads the defense like he’s reading a children’s storybook and then directs his receivers exactly where to go.  Manning puppeteer wizardry was at work at Tuesday’s Rockies game as he was behind Broncos receiver Eric Decker nailing Broncos tackle Orlando Franklin with a pie in the face while...

Tight end Jacob Tamme is excited by Wes Welker and the Broncos offense: 'Wes is awesome'

Denver Broncos tight end Jacob Tamme is excited about the arrival of receiver Wes Welker and the Broncos offense going into the second year under Peyton Manning. Any tight end would be as Welker takes the heat off the position playing from the slot. Welker's presence prevents any double teams in the middle of the field on Tamme, giving him more room to work. Couple that with...

Broncos linebacker Von Miller is a chick magnet

Von Miller thinks offseason is for the birds. Yardbirds, that is. Miller, the Broncos linebacker, told USA Today he bought 38 chickens for his eight-acre property near Dallas with the intention of becoming a chicken magnate. "Hopefully I'll have some chicken tenders for you guys," Miller told reporters. Miller isn't just winging it. He majored in poultry science...

Broncos took Montee Ball over Eddie Lacy because of injury concerns

The Denver Broncos director of player personnel Matt Russell indicated that they took running back Montee Ball over Eddie Lacy because of concerns over Lacy’s toe. “We liked both these backs. We were worried about a toe injury that (Lacy) had,” said Russell, per Anthony Mason of MaxDenver.com. Like many other people, Russell believes concerns over Lacy’s toe caused him to...

Tom Brady celebrates big win at the Derby?

So, apparently Tom Brady and co. have some sort of connection to the owners of Orb, who won the Kentucky Derby yesterday. You can see Brady and his crew of former Patriots: Dan Koppen, Tedy Bruschi and Wes Welker go nuts over the win with the owners. Apparently Brady didn't want to go down to the winner's circle though, implying he probably didn't have much invested...

NFL News: Tom Heckert joins Denver Broncos as Director of Pro Personnel

We’ve all just had a lesson in how front offices turn over in an off-season. It feels like a relatively new lesson here in Cleveland. The Browns have decided not to renew some contracts of scouts that were in Berea under former General Manager Tom Heckert. The timing of waiting until after the draft is apparently pretty commonplace. In Denver the Broncos let Keith Kidd depart after...
DRESSED TO KILL?

Peyton Manning, Von Miller attend MLB game

The Colorado Rockies hosted several members of the Denver Broncos for Tuesday night’s game against the New York Yankees at Coors Field. To say that some of them were dressed to kill would be the understatement of the century. In the spirit of saving the best for last, we’ll start by mentioning how great Von Miller’s shirt was. As one Reddit user pointed out after the photo...

It's always an interesting debate when we look at who the best QB of all time is.  Frankly, I don't believe we can compare different eras, so we're going to take a look at the guys currently playing and rank the top 5 moving into the 2013 season.  Without further ado, here they are.5. Eli Manning - Most people will criticize me for putting Eli on this list, but no one...

That's exactly what happened when Peyton Manning, Champ Bailey and the entire Denver Broncos team showed up at Coors Field before the Yankees took on the Colorado Rockies Tuesday night. Fantasy Football 2013: Three Wide Receivers Who Will Be Drafted Too High

Sometimes a change in scenery is a good thing. For a couple of NFL receivers, a change of scenery heading into the 2013 season may mean a drop in production. As we all know and often forget, some players are just better in certain systems. We’ve seen many instances where a guy puts up big numbers for one team and fails to do so the next because he wasn’t utilized the same way...
