That is either a giant engagement ring being worn by Aaron Rodgers’ girlfriend Destiny Newton or the couple was just playing a huge trick on Busted Coverage Saturday in Oxford, Mississippi at the Vandy-Ole Miss game.
Here we are just days after we brought you the exclusive on the Ryan Braun-Larisa Fraser engagement and now the other Wisconsin hero is (highly likely to be) engaged.
As you can see from the screencaps after Jordan Rodgers connected with Jordan Matthews on a 52-yard TD in Vandy’s 27-26 win, that’s Newton pushing back some hair and flashing what looks to be a sizable ring where, in case you didn’t know, women are known to wear an engagement ring.
There have been rumors that Newton was spotted at a friend’s October wedding wearing an engagement ring, but photos never surfaced. As for the money Newton would be marrying into if that really is an engagement ring, Rodgers is still working under a six-year, $68 million contract. Many believe in his next deal Rodgers will get get Drew Brees money, which is in the $100 million range.
Destiny Newton File:
• Has called herself a hard-drinking, fly-fishing nature girl from Northern California
• Used to be a bartender
• Drink of choice: Jack Daniels
• Childhood friend of Rodgers
• Has a tramp stamp
Have intel on Destiny Newton & Rodgers? Are you scheduled to make the wedding cake? Send word.

What did we learn on Day 2 of the “Is Aaron Rodgers engaged,” saga? That Aaron Rodgers, on his ESPN Wisconsin radio show, wouldn’t confirm or deny that the giant rock on his girlfriend’s finger is an engagement ring.
Host Jason Wilde, who said on Monday he wouldn’t ask Rodgers such intrusive questions, sorta changed his tune today, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel...
In a move that I'm sure shocked his male roommate, it appears Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has recently been engaged to random blonde "woman," Destiny Newton. Speculation on this topic has run rampant after Rodgers and Newton were seen watching Aaron's younger brother, Jordan Rodgers, help Vanderbilt pull out a win against Kentucky this last weekend...
Recently, BC has been grinding away at all Wisconsin sports legend engagement news. Yes, we broke the Ryan Braun-Larisa Fraser story. Yes, we broke the Aaron Rodgers-Destiny Newton engagement story. And the best part? Wisconsin beat writers are acting all high and mighty, like they are above this type of news…typical jock-sniffers. Meanwhile the Aaron Rodgers engagement is blowing...
You can put the gay rumors to rest. Well maybe you can (remember Rock Hudson). Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is supposedly engaged to a self-described hard-drinkin’, Jack Daniels and fly-fishin’ lovin’ girl named Destiny Newton. The proof? The ring she was flashing on her engagement ring hand/finger on television Saturday night.
If you look at the screen grabs...
Two of the best teams in the NFL meet up on Sunday night: the 7-1 Houston Texans head to Chicago to take on the 7-1 Bears.
Both are at the top of their respective divisions, and are in the top two spots of their respective conferences. The winner of this game will cement themselves as one of the top, if not the top, teams in the NFL.

Still Perfect After Blowout
That’s right, after facing Tony Romo, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Christian Ponder and Mark Sanchez, the Seahawks are still perfect at home this season and 8-0 is attainable.
There were nervous moments on Sunday but then Golden Tate threw a touchdown pass and everything seemed right in the world again.
The one downside of the win? I didn’t get to use...
