ABC’s “Expedition Impossible” Featuring Former NFL Players

Former NFL players and college friends, Akbar Gbaja-Biamila (Raiders), Robert Ortiz (Chargers), and Ricky Sharpe (Browns) are putting life and limbs in danger to participate in ABC’s Expedition Impossible (think Amazing Race). The buddies, who all met at San Diego State University, consider themselves to be hyper-competitive and willing to do whatever it takes to win. They’re used to running up and down a football field, but now they’re jazzed to see how they’ll handle a jaunt into the wild. Expedition Impossible features 13 teams of three players who will travel across deserts, mountains and rivers in the “exotic, fabled Kingdom of Morocco.”  The winners receive $50,000, and a Ford Explorer. A much smaller paycheck than they could earn in the NFL, but nevertheless a check. Good luck guys. The show airs on Tuesday, June 21. Watch the video after the break.
