According to The Washington Times, Redskins defensive end Adam Carriker will start out training camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list as he continues to rehab from a ruptured right quadriceps tendon. There’s even a chance Carriker may miss some regular season games after undergoing a second surgery this past winter. “At this point, we’re really working on getting the range of motion back in the knee,” Carriker said on The Chris Russell Show. “Your knee is supposed to bend at, like, 130-140 degrees. Typically right now, it doesn’t get there. “My strength within the motion I have is pretty good. But we got to get more motion out of it just to be able to play football, first of all, and then just to be able to live a normal life and do things of that nature. So we get that range of motion back, shoot, I should be able to go. It’s just it might take a while to get that.” Carriker admitted that he suffered a setback back around New Year’s. “I’m not sure what we want to disclose at this point,” Carriker said on the radio. “It was a setback, clearly, and obviously led to another surgery. Obviously it set me back. I wasn’t able to do any of the offseason activities and be on the field. It was just a setback and we’ll leave it at that for right now. Maybe we’ll elaborate at a later date.” Need NFL Tickets? The post Adam Carriker expected to begin camp on the PUP list appeared first on Pro Football Zone.

Redskins rookie safeties Bacarri Rambo and Phillip Thomas hosted their very own Google Hangout in which they answered questions from a select few of Redskins beat writers/reporters. Will Aldrick Robinson Have a Breakout Season?

Aldrick Robinson flashed big play ability in limited playing time last season. If it wasn’t for a big drop vs the St Louis Rams in week two and a concussion injury in a freak collision with safety Brandon Meriweather before the Tampa Bay game, we could have been looking at a totally different 2012 season from Robinson. When Robinson was healthy, he capitalized on most of his opportunities...

Washington Redskins Owner Dan Snyder Needs Help--and He's Getting It

Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder is no stranger to being under fire from the press. Usually it is for his wild spending on free agents that never seem to pan out (right, Albert Haynesworth?), but lately it has been something that he had nothing to do with deciding. His team's name--the Washington Redskins. From advocacy groups to members of Congress he has come...

Redskins owner Daniel Snyder hires political consultant for name issue

Although it's admittedly beginning to feel like we're beating a dead horse, the Redskins' name issue is evolving, albeit slowly, and there's now a new wrinkle to the debate. Daniel Snyder has hired Frank Luntz, a conservative political consultant, to conduct a focus group assessing the general public's opinion of the NFL and the Washington Redskins, according...

Washington Redskins Offense Coordinator Kyle Shanahan Doesn't Think Offense Should Be Changed

The message from the Washington Redskins regarding their offense has been united throughout the offseason.  Kyle Shanahan, the team's offensive coordinator, continued to sing the same tune Wednesday, as Redskins coordinators spoke to the media for the first and last time during OTA's. “He stayed healthy last year running the zone read,” Kyle Shanahan said. “So I feel...

Taiwanese Animators Come Up With Other Racist Team Names

The deranged minds over at NMA Media weigh in on the ongoing turmoil over Dan Snyder’s refusal to change the name of the Redskins. This is actually one of the more informative videos that I’ve seen from NMA, which takes away from some of their trademark insanity. But you can always count on NMA for some borderline disturbing imagery, so they ask how fans might feel about teams...

End Your ‘Hail to the Redskins’: An Open Letter to Roger Goodell

Mr. Commissioner, Mr. Goodell, Your NFL Highness: It’s no secret who you serve. As NFL Commissioner, you follow the tradition of an office at the beck and call of 32 rich, white men, the owners that cut your check. To them, and them only, do you answer. To them you owe your loyalty. This week, you made that position abundantly clear. Your letter to the Congressional Caucus that...
