Hot damn, the Bucs just asked for permission to interview a couple Green Bay assistant coaches, including my favorite, Joe Philbin. …and the team got permission to interview Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin and quarterbacks coach Tom Clements, according to multiple reports. Philbin went ahead and coached in the divisional game in Green Bay this weekend even though no one would have blamed him if he had sat it out after the poor guy had to bury his son last week. It appears that he is ready to continue on with his career and the Bucs want to be one of the many teams interviewing him this offseason. Clements is 58 and has been the quarterbacks coach of the Packers since 2006, so he’s been the main guy behind Aaron Rodgers‘s development.
