As if things couldn't get any worse for Dallas Cowboys defenders, both George Selvie and Orlando Scandrick were fined by the NFL for supposed dirty hits. Per ESPN Dallas: Selvie was fined for a second-quarter roughing the passer penalty when he hit Bears quarterback Josh McCown below the knee. The 15-yard penalty was added to a 26-yard completion to Alshon Jeffery. Jerry Jones gives Monte Kiffin and Rod Marinelli a vote of confidence

Someone needs to be fired in Dallas. I thought for sure it would be Monte Kiffin after last nights epic fail, but that is not the case. Today, Jerry told the media that he has faith in the two old defensive coaches. @calvinwatkins: Jerry Jones said “there’s no one I rather have” than Monte Kiffin […]

DeMarcus Ware vows to keep his ten sack season streak alive

The dominant version of DeMarcus Ware is on the way. He has had seven consecutive years in a row with 10 sacks but he only has 6 this year. When he was asked if he will get ten he responded promotly: “There is no doubt in my mind,” Ware said. “I know that for a […]

Jerry Jones Says DeMarcus Ware Should Be Producing More

Things are about to start heating up around the Dallas Cowboys defense. Jerry Jones has found a source of his frustation, and it’s his defensive players alone.  Jones has started calling out players for their lack of production, and he fired his first shot at the big dawg on the Cowboys defense. Jones said in his weekly radio show that the team should be getting more from defensive...

Stephen Jones Says Cowboys “Stars” Didn’t Show Up

You notice Jerry and Stephen Jones talk more than the entire Dallas Cowboys coaching staff? “You turn on the tape and guys we count on week in and week out didn’t show up,” Jones said at the conclusion of an NFL Owners meeting at the Four Seasons Resort in Las Colinas. “I don’t know what it was, but we didn’t get it done and I’ve got to believe we can do better than...

Dallas Cowboys Fans Can’t Blame Tony Romo This Year

With first place in the NFC East on the line, the Cowboys’ No. 32-ranked defense couldn’t stop McCown, his running back or any of the Bears’ talented receivers Monday night.  The Cowboys began the cold night with a promising, 12-play, 75-yard march to a touchdown, with DeMarco Murray running the ball six times for 52 yards. But McCown and the Bears came right back and scored...

Jerry Jones on Monte Kiffin: ‘nobody I’d rather have’

We are at that point again where we begin to talk about another mediocre and failed season for the Dallas Cowboys. Sure, they are a game behind NFC East leading Philadelphia with the season finale against them in three weeks, but do you trust that defense in any game moving forward, especially against the explosive Chip Kelly offense led by Nick Foles and LeSean McCoy? This is a...

Cowboys lock up DB Scandrick until 2018

Today the Dallas Cowboys reportedly extended cornerback Orlando Scandrick’s contract two more years, meaning he’s now signed through 2018. Dallas signed Scandrick to a five-year, $25 million extension shortly before the start of the 2011 season. His new extension adds $9 million in guaranteed money, giving him a base salary of $4.5 million in 2014, […]

Must-Have Holiday Music: ‘Christmas With The Dallas Cowboys Legends’

Hey, remember the 80s? What a crazy decade that was, right? People were all coked up out of their brains, and because of it we had movies about alien ducks and alien robots and alien, um, aliens – it was a really ridiculous era of American pop culture. But nothing was more ridiculous than the music, especially when it came to athletes that thought they could sing, such as the Dallas...

Cowboys' defense a study in contradictions

DeMarcus Ware intercepted the first pass of the season, one of six turnovers for a Dallas defense that also gave up 450 yards passing to Eli Manning and the New York Giants in the opener. The Cowboys have been a study in defensive contradictions ever since. They are the only team to keep Philadelphia out of the end zone this year, yet they've surrendered the first two 600-yard...

Dallas Cowboys: Another failed December in store?

The Dallas Cowboys are coming off another embarrassing loss in the month of December. Dallas was unable to force a single punt against the Chicago Bears on Monday night. At this point, the Cowboys defense would have a hard time stopping a Slinky. It looks like another late season collapse is in store for the Boys. Most teams, with playoff aspirations, like to be playing their best...

After Monday night’s dispiriting loss to the Chicago Bears, the Dallas Cowboys continue to search for answers. The defense is so bad that personnel changes may not be enough to stop the slide. If you’ve been around Tha Outlaws community this season, you may have noticed one of our many calls to play a game we’ve created – it’s called PICK SIX.
