Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is doing what he can to make sure his sprained ankle is ready for Sunday’s game against the Redskins.
“I got it twisted up pretty bad,” Peterson said, per 1500ESPNRadio.com. “Just trying to get some rest on it, man, let it recover, try to get the strength back. Really didn’t experience much swelling. But I feel like I’m taking steps forward.”
Peterson isn’t concerned about his ankle.
“I wouldn’t call (the ankle) a concern, but it’s something I want to definitely get back to feeling good,” Peterson said. “I don’t think it’s going to hinder me from being able to play and push through. I’ve pushed through worse ankle injuries than the one I have.”
After playing last week with an injured ankle, I’m sure he’ll be fine when Sunday rolls around.
