AP According to Dan Wiederer of the Star Tribune, the Minnesota Vikings don’t plan on playing running back Adrian Peterson at all this preseason. “Adrian Peterson’s hopes of seeing at least some action in a preseason game have been dashed. The Vikings have decided to take the safe route with their star running back, opting to hold him out of their final two preseason contests,” wrote Wiederer. This is a great move by the Vikings, it’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to health of Peterson who they’ve invested a lot of money into.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Adrian Peterson is ready to go for the Minnesota Vikings. Coach Leslie Frazier isn't so sure he's ready to let Peterson in a game. Peterson, coming back from surgery Dec. 31 to repair two torn ligaments...

Report: Peterson won't play in preseason

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Running back Adrian Peterson and Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier have both expressed interest in getting the recovering Peterson action in the preseason. It turns out Peterson's first game action might come in the regular season, according to a report from ESPN1500.com's Judd Zulgad. Peterson tells Vikes their no-preseason plan is OK

The Minnesota Vikings have a better idea about how to prepare Adrian Peterson and his surgically repaired left knee for the season. Their plan is to simply load him up with a variety of work in practice over the next two weeks, rather than put him in an exhibition game for a couple of carries. Coach Leslie Frazier confirmed Tuesday his change of mind about Peterson's preseason...

Vikings' Peterson might play on Friday

Minnesota Viking running back Adrian Peterson might play in Friday's preseason game against San Diego. At least Vikings coach Leslie Frazier did not rule out the possibility. "We'll probably just see how he does with some of the stuff that we'll give him and probably make a determination by Tuesday or Wednesday if we want to do any more," Frazier said...

Camp Comments: If you touch Adrian Peterson “you’re cut” from the team

This is probably the face that Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson was making when some dumb cop thought he could take him down by jumping on his back. While some of us are still trying to get over the fact that super star Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson is back in action already, Peterson is taking reps. But those reps are not as dangerous as they normally would be. Apparently...

Despite hints by Vikings coach Leslie Frazier that running back Adrian Peterson might play in Friday's preseason game against San Diego, NFL.com reported Monday that Peterson will not play in that game. Peterson, who had surgery to repair a torn anterior-cruciate ligament on Dec. 30, came off the physically unable to perform list on Aug. 12 and has had a week of practice....

Vikings' Peterson won't play in preseason

As Vikings coach Leslie Frazier warned 10 days ago when Adrian Peterson returned to practice, it would be a mistake to assume the All-Pro runner was "back." While Peterson has said he's ready to carry the offense, the Vikings will not test his readiness in the preseason. Frazier and the Vikings will hold Peterson out of the final two preseason games but not ruling...

Vikings: Peterson won't play in the preseason

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Adrian Peterson won’t play in the preseason, but he hasn’t suffered a setback. They just want more time in his recovery.

All Day No Play

The Minnesota Vikings will not allow their star running back to suit up for a single preseason snap, a smart move for the franchise, but a frustrating move for fantasy football owners. “There are no setbacks. That’s not the reason we are doing this” stated head coach Leslie Frazier. That part is encouraging, but while Adrian Peterson may be ready to play on opening day (September...

Injury worries for Vick, Peterson

It's not even the third week of preseason, but Philly fans and fantasy owners are cringing over every Michael Vick snap in the same vein as Ted and Mark Wahlberg during thunderstorms. Yes, the stimulating-but-susceptible superstar has been battered in his first two appearances in August, bringing even more uncertainty to his already questionable status. But have you seen the...
