Today is Thanksgiving but the only fans in the AFC West that are giving thanks are the Denver Broncos. Broncos fans are thankful that the organization got rid of Tim Tebow in favor of superstar Peyton Manning. Manning has paid off as the Broncos are 7-3 and firmly in control of the division. The San Diego Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Oakland Raiders have less to be thankful for and are most likely most thankful that the season will be ending sooner than later. This article will preview Week 12 in the AFC West. Oakland at Cincinnati Cincinnati is playing all four AFC West teams in a span of five weeks that started in week nine. Carson Palmer says it was time to leave the Bengals

Former Bengals and current Oakland Raiders starting  quarterback Carson Palmer says he wanted out of Cincinnati last season for professional reasons and that it was time for him to go. “Really just professional. Like I said, it was time. It was definitely time to move on, said Palmer, per the Cincinnati Enquirer.  ”I’m glad the way it worked out and I’m glad for the Bengals...

Raiders-Bengals Preview

For seven seasons, Carson Palmer was the face of the Cincinnati Bengals, leading them to two playoff appearances and earning two Pro Bowl trips before the parties endured an ugly split last year. Returning to Paul Brown Stadium for the first time since he was traded to Oakland, Palmer looks to help the Raiders avoid a fourth straight loss and keep the Bengals from a third consecutive...

Peyton Manning: “I’m not trying to be the player that I was when I was 28”

Peyton Manning says he’s not trying to do the things he did at 28. Once again, he’s trying to fake everyone out. Manning is an MVP and Comeback Player of the Year candidate. The latter is pretty much a wrap. It’s true that he isn’t trying to do the same things at 28; he had 49 touchdowns and a passer rating of 121.1. That would be ridiculous. Maybe he was talking about...

Palmer not dwelling on past in Cincinnati

Chances are good Carson Palmer will end up with more passing yards in a season for the Raiders than he ever had in Cincinnati. He has proven that his arm is as good as ever and still flashes the skills that made him one of the NFL's elite quarterbacks with the Bengals in 2005 and 2006, starting a year after he came out of USC as the No. 1 overall pick in the draft and winner...

Bengals not focusing on Palmer's return

For over a year, fans have been looking forward to Carson Palmer's return to Paul Brown Stadium as the Raiders face the Bengals. When it comes to the players though, they moved on from it all during the lockout. The focus this week isn't on why Palmer decided he wanted out after eight seasons -- even though during Wednesday's conference call the reason slanted a lot...

Offensive Game Grades: Week 11 vs. New Orleans

It was expected to be a shootout between the Oakland Raiders and the New Orleans Saints last Sunday, when the teams collided at the O.Co Coliseum. Well, at least one side did their part and, unfortunately for the Raider Nation, it wasn’t the Silver & Black. The offense led by Carson Palmer could not keep up with Drew Brees and [...]

Broncos’ offense has no trouble scoring points

(Photo by Justin Edmonds/Getty Images) After ranking 23rd overall in 2011, the Denver Broncos offense has turned things around this season. Last season, the Broncos ranked 25-of-32 among teams in points scored (309) and scored 30 points in a game on just two occasions. Needless to say, the Broncos have made great improvements in 2012. This season, the Broncos have scored 30 points...

Unable to woo Manning, Chiefs face him

For the first time since he moved into their neighborhood, the Chiefs will face the Denver Broncos with quarterback Peyton Manning. Only 10 games into the season and Manning's influence over the Broncos has been very apparent as they lead the AFC West with a 7-3 record. The Chiefs are six games behind at 1-9. When Manning became available back in March, the Chiefs were one...

Week 11 – Denver Broncos vs Kansas City Chiefs

Continuing on with rivalry weekend, the (1-9) Chiefs welcome a surging (7-3) Denver Broncos squad to town in hopes of causing a major upset to the conference title hopes of Peyton Manning and company. If there was any doubt about the health of Manning, they have been put together but his season to date. Manning has returned to MVP form, and has his Broncos playing superbowl caliber...

New England Patriots: Five Reasons They Will Go To The Super Bowl

The New England Patriots didn't start the 2012 season with much of a bang. For many, losses to the Ravens, Cardinals, and Seahawks looked to show the weaknesses of a team on its way down in the power rankings. To make matters worse, the defense appeared just as suspect as 2011, casting more doubt on their ability to compete against the best teams in the AFC. With Peyton Manning...

Chiefs uninspiring play turning away fans

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Like a lot of locals, Steve Price went into fall Sundays wearing red and came out of them raking leaves and muttering obscenities. Before Week 1, hed even purchased the ultimate dude vanity item, a flat-screen TV explicitly for the man-cave. Hed branded himself an NFL lifer, having embraced 49ers games when he lived out west. Then he met the 2012 Kansas City Chiefs...
