After Romeo Doubs hospital visit, Packers offer injury update
Romeo Doubs Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

As the Green Bay Packers prepare for the Wild Card round against the Dallas Cowboys, they got some good news on the injury front with the return of some of their injured players. One of the most encouraging developments was the participation of wide receiver Romeo Doubs in their latest practice.

For those not in the know, Doubs suffered an injury scare in their Week 18 win against the Chicago Bears. He featured in just 11 plays for the Packers in the contest and left with a little over three minutes remaining in the first quarter due to a chest injury.

According to the reports that followed, Doubs had to go to a hospital and only returned to the team postgame. He was also apparently coughing up blood, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. Head coach Matt LaFleur called him day-to-day after that, though there were legitimate concerns about his status moving forward.

As mentioned, in a positive turn for the Packers, Doubs joined the team in their practice on Wednesday, albeit on a limited basis. Still, it’s a step in the right direction as Green Bay hopes to get most of their injured guys back in time for the showdown with the Cowboys.

It remains to be seen if Doubs will be able to join the Green Bay Packers to start their playoff journey on Sunday. Nonetheless, the team will certainly want him around. Throughout the regular season, the 23-year-old wideout led the team in receiving touchdowns with eight, tied with Jayden Reed.

Doubs is also second on the team in receptions (59) and receiving yards (674), further highlighting his importance to the Packers.

Here’s to hoping that Doubs won’t face any setbacks in his return to play. The Packers really need his help as they take on one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Who Else Is Injured for the Green Bay Packers Aside from Romeo Doubs?

A number of Green Bay Packers players returned to practice on Wednesday along with Doubs. The only one missing was running back AJ Dillon.

With his absence, Dillon could end up missing their playoff showdown with the Cowboys. The 25-year-old RB also missed their game against the Bears as he continues to battle a stinger. On the injury report, the team said he’s also dealing with a thumb issue.

Wide receiver Christian Watson and linebacker Isaiah McDuffie, who both missed the Chicago game, were both limited participants on Wednesday as well.
