The last thing I expected to write about when I sat down to give you YET ANOTHER TIMELY AND RECURRENT BLOG UPDATE!!!!!… was to dig up an old corpse of a topic like this. Former Houston Texans running back Ahman Green appeared on Sean Pendergast’s show on 1560 The Game today. Green wanted to set the record straight about his time in Houston, and boy did he ever. Uh, well, sort of. I’m going to paraphrase what Green said, taking care not to put words in his mouth or mischaracterize his statements (well there goes any chance of me getting a job in the “real” media). Green said that Rick Smith called him into his office and asked if he was faking an injury. Presumably one injury, but it could have been one of many. This of course set Green off, and he left the room. It’s one of the worst things you can ask a professional athlete, and by the way I don’t think for a SECOND that Green ever faked an injury.
