The Bengals came out firing from the get-go in Washington to get things going for their young offensive squad.
The first play of the game as setup in a wildcat with receiver Mohamed Sanu under center. He took the snap and bombed it downfield to AJ Green who had beat Safety DeJon Gomes and cornerback DeAngelo Hall for the opening touchdown.

Early on in the game, the Bengals decided to pull out a big time trick and have WR Sanu throw a bomb to AJ Green. Is it beating a dead horse to say Sanu throws it better than Tebow? Probably. S/O to @sbnation for the GIF.

Rookie receiver Mohamed Sanu lined up in the shotgun, took the snap and threw a 73-yard touchdown pass on the Bengals' first play from scrimmage. It was the start of an uncharacteristically wide-open day for the buttoned-down team.
The Bengals also had running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis take a direct snap in a wildcat formation and run for a touchdown. They even tried a fake...
Here goes with the stuff I noticed this week. I think the first point is very salient, it shows how important film review is important for any coordinator – both in terms of reviewing opponents tendencies and understanding your own. Last week, Ray Horton claimed that he knew what the Patriots would do because they [...]
I got tired of people talking about my read hair Juan…
Andy Dalton had a ho-hum preseason and carried that into week one against the Ravens. That was so long ago. Since then Dalton has been on a tear and has made us experts look like dummies for passing on him.
In his last 2 games he has averaged 323/3 and despite making a bad interception in each game, the Bengals pass attack...
Despite pulling out their first win last weekend, the Cincinnati Bengals know they need to be better defensively going forward.
Having lost two key defensive starters during their Week 2 defeat, the Washington Redskins also appear to have a tough challenge ahead of them.
In what could be a high-scoring affair, the Bengals and Redskins square off Sunday as Robert Griffin III makes...
Andy Dalton completed 19 of 27 passes for 328 yards and three touchdowns Sunday to lead the Cincinnati Bengals to a 38-31 win over Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins.
The Bengals blew a 24-7 first-half lead, but two touchdown passes by Dalton in the fourth quarter made the difference.
A 6-yard throw to tight end Jermaine Gresham broke a 24-24 tie, then Dalton hit Andrew...
DOH! So close. Bengals 38, Redskins 34.1. Cincinnati threw the winning touchdown on the first play from scrimmage on a trick play. With QB Andy Dalton lined up on the line and WR Mohamed Sanu lined up in the Wildcat, Washington somehow, mysteriously, inexcusably lost tract of AJ Green. Green met up with Sanu's deep pass about 60 yards downfield and ran unhindered across the...
Fail to the Redskins! Here are my five keys to a Cincy win in the Capitol this Sunday:
1. Score Early/Get Ahead: The Bengals are on the road for the Redskins home opener. FedEx field is huge, and usually sold out. They will be loud and rocking as they get their highly-anticipated first look at RGIII. The Bengals would do well to get up on the skins by a touchdown...
LANDOVER, Md. -- The Cincinnati Bengals ruined Washington's home opener Sunday, scoring on the first snap on a 73-yard touchdown on a wide-receiver option and then fending off a Redskins comeback to win 38-31. Rookie quarterback Robert Griffin rallied the Redskins from a 24-10 deficit, leading drives of 80 and 86 yards to start the second half, but Bengals second-year quarterback...
If you’re one of those people that think that football games are won and lost by the defense then you should NOT watch this game because it couldn’t be farther from the truth. Let’s be honest here. The Bengals’ D sucks…the Redskins’ D sucks…Carson Palmer sucks but that’s neither her nor there. The truth is that this game game is all about offense. I know...
