MVN:
Washington Redskins head coach Jim Zorn says that DT Albert Haynesworth strained a glut muscle high in the hip area during the Detroit game Sunday.
Translation: He fell on his butt and it hurts.
Not as much as watching your $41 million guaranteed free agent sprawled on the floor of Ford Field.
The Redskins defense also took a shot to the rear in Detroit.
Lions head coach Jim Schwartz was Haynesworth's defensive coordinator at the Tennessee Titans. Schwartz send his rushers directly through the middle of the Skins' defensive line.
Kevin Smith gained 101 yards on only 16 carries. The Lions gained 154 yards and six first downs rushing.
Did Schwartz know something about Haynesworth?
What ever it was, every offensive coordinator on the schedule will scan game tape to figure it out.
Expect more rushes up the middle. That both tests Haynesworth's stamina and immobilize MLB London Fletcher.
