FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots’ secondary may get a boost in the team’s final preseason game.
Ras-I Dowling and Alfonzo Dennard have returned to be full participants at practice the last two days. That means they should be good to go against the Giants on Thursday.
Neither player has suited up in a preseason game yet, and for a player like Dowling, this game could be the difference between staying on the roster and being one of the final cuts. Dennard and Dowling should get the majority of snaps at cornerback in the fourth preseason game. The starters, Aqib Talib and Kyle Arrington, have got plenty of snaps this preseason and rookie Logan Ryan should mix in at the slot.
