A local sports station in Pittsburgh is conducting a “Diamond Anniversary” edition of the all-Steelers team. As with anything in football, the quarterback became the focal point. Almost every other franchise not named San Francisco, Dallas or Green Bay would kill for a chance at that discussion (the New York Giants could probably be in that mix, too). Funny how those three teams have five, five and four Super Bowl victories respectively and are also the teams to boast multiple Hall of Fame-level quarterbacks.… Read more

The key to victory for both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles is stopping the quarterback

This week’s match-up between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles may feature two attacking defenses built to pressure a quarterback. I wouldn’t mind if this happened during the Eagles-Steelers game (VIDEO)

Ben Roethlisberger getting sucked into the ground? I don’t mind. If it were to happen, the Eagles would of course wind up safely where Hines Ward lands in the clip. A girl can dream. Want more Philly Sports Muse? You can find me on Twitter at @sports_muse and on Facebook.

Week 5: The Pittsburgh Steelers vs The Philadelphia Eagles

The Pittsburgh Steelers had the unfavorable early bye week in week 4 (the earliest a team can have the bye in the NFL). Steelers edge Eagles on last-second field goal

It sounds so fundamental and elementary---get to the opposing QB before he can get to you...
