Deadspin.com released a report this past week alleging that New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez had sexual relations with a 17-year-old girl.
Without providing further proof, and including a warning letter from the girl’s lawyer who has denied everything, this has the makings of a scandal.
Jets Spokeman Bruce Speight, in saying: “We are not going to discuss Mark’s private life,” only adds fuel to the fire.
Deadspin alleged that the girl provided them with photos taken from Sanchez’s bedroom after she spent the night with him a few weeks ago.
Under New York and New Jersey laws, having sexual relations with the 17-year-old would be legal and not considered statutory rape.
