Defensive end Jared Allen was named to the Pro Bowl for the fourth time in his career after having a big season for the Minnesota Vikings. The eight-year veteran has a personal-best 18.5 sacks and is three sacks away from setting the franchise single-season sack record held by Chris Doleman (21.0). Allen currently leads the NFL in sacks (18.5) and fumble recoveries (4). He has recorded three-sack games twice this season. Since entering the league in 2004, Allen leads all players with 101.5 sacks. Allen recorded his 4th career safety this season, which ties an NFL record for most safeties in a career.
