Today was the Giants’ Kickoff Luncheon and former Giant great Amani Toomer was officially named/awarded the Giants Alumni of the Year.

Amani has long immersed himself in community and charitable endeavors. This year, he is partnering with Timex to run in the ING New York Marathon. Amani will start last and for each runner he passes, Timex will donate $1 to New York Road Runner’s Youth Programs.

Great for Amani, he was a class act and I am glad the Giants awarded him this honor.
