Amik Robertson is one of the Few to Have Beaten KC
USA TODAY Sports

With the Kansas City Chiefs having won their last six meetings with the Las Vegas Raiders, there are not many Raiders who have seen success against the defending Super Bowl champions.

Cornerback Amik Robertson, a fourth-year Raider, has been a part of those six losses but was also one of the few to have known how it feels to defeat the AFC West juggernaut.

Robertson, whose frustration was very apparent following his team's Week 12 loss to the Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium, simply wants to have that sensation back when the division rivals go toe to toe on Christmas Day.

"I mean, you got to understand, I've been here four years," Robertson told reporters on Thursday. "And I tasted the win against them going down there in Arrowhead and being able to beat them. And it's a team that I'm just tired of losing to.

"And I'm so competitive. And we got the pieces, we got the guys to be able to beat that team, and unfortunately, we took an 'L.' And that's something that I kind of thought about for a long time.

"I'm happy that it's back -- we got another opportunity, so we just got to execute and trust one another. And I know the offense is going to do their job, but as a defense, we got to eliminate those explosive plays and most importantly, get after the damn ball."

While Robertson is part of a select company when it comes to current Raiders who have beaten the Chiefs, he doesn't like to think about that win in 2020 as one of the highlights of his career.

"I try to be on my feet," the cornerback said. "Because the only thing that -- that happened in the past, it really doesn't matter. So, right now matters, and right now, we got a very important game Monday against a great team that we're foaming from the mouth to get that 'W.'"

The Silver and Black will return to action versus their AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Christmas Day at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Don't miss it on Monday, December 25, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
