New York Giants Head coach Tom Coughlin told the CBS broadcast crew working the game that CB Prince Amukamara suffered an “ankle sprain” after being carted off the field earlier in the game.
We learned later it is indeed an ankle sprain – a HIGH ankle sprain. Not good news for the Giants, as it leaves them without Amukamara for a month, maybe longer.
Intially, X-rays came back negative, but they only checked for a fracture. Bruce Johnson replaced him in the game.
With Terrell Thomas already out, the Giants currently have a big void in the secondary.
