Despite his team’s 1-10 record,  Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Ed Johnson is doing the most to make the best of his 2010 experience. Johnson signed a one-year deal with the Panthers back in February to provide the defense with another play-maker for the pass rush. While he’s managed to make an impact during the first season with his new team, the former Nittany Lion has had to deal with the aggravation of playing through a knee injury. “It’s been real rough because I haven’t really had to deal with any injuries while playing before,” Johnson said. “It’s hard because I want to be out there so bad and continuing to play on it probably wasn’t the best idea. But the fact is I want to be out there and get better.” Besides the injury and his team’s record, this has been a memorable season for Johnson after recording his first career NFL interception.
