First, the Broncos lose starters Ty Warren (partially torn triceps) and Marcus Thomas (partially torn pectoral). Warren is out for most of the season and Thomas may miss a game or two of the regular season. The new starting defensive tackles became Brodrick Bunkley and Kevin Vickerson. Bunkley suffered a knee injury Saturday against Buffalo and Vickerson was limping around Monday with a heavily bandaged left ankle. The starting defensive tackles during practice Monday were Ryan McBean, who has started before, and Jeremy Jarmon, a defensive end by trade who was acquired from Washington before camp in exchange for receiver Jabar Gaffney. Also, the ever-versatile Russ Hochstein replaced the hobbled Chris Kuper at right guard Monday. The injuries to Vickerson, Kuper and Bunkley don’t appear to be serious, at least by NFL standards.
