According to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, free agent defensive end Andre Carter is looking for a three to four-year deal from the New England Patriots, that would pay him comparable to what a pro bowl player would make.
The Patriots on the other hand would love to give Carter another one-year deal, since they’re concerned about his durability and they’ve already added enough pass rushers through the draft and free agency this offseason.
Carter also believes he’ll be ready to go for the regular season, even though he’s still recovering from a torn quad that he suffered last season. The Patriots on the other hand would like place him on the PUP list.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t look like Carter will be back in New England, unless both sides decide to give in a little.

2012 Fantasy Football TE Rankings
.1. Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots: 1327 yards and 17 TDs (plus a rushing score). Gronk is ridiculous. He got paid, but I don’t think that will slow him..2. Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints: Hard to argue with 1310 yards and 11 TDs. He’s become Drew Brees’ favorite target, which is always a good thing..3. Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers: Really blossomed during...
