PLAYERS: Andre Johnson
TEAMS: Houston Texans

I love the smell of new sneaks Juan…

Andre Johnson was looking for some new kicks when a fan who recognized him took advantage of a quick photo op.  Andre Johnson is a silent leader on the field and just reminds me of a guy who is a introvert off the field.  IF he can stay healthy we are looking at a guy who is easily capable of 100/1500/8.  The issues are that the Texans are a run first team now that has a extremely good defense that will put the days of the shootouts behind them.  When big WRs have so many lower body issues it’s cause for alarm, so it remains to be seen what will happen in 2012.  High risk/high reward.

Video: Brawl erupted at Houston Texans preseason game

Now that football has returned, so have brawls in the stands. They can happen at other sporting events, but they are definitely more prevalent at football games.   Take for instance this fight that broke out in the upper deck of Reliant Stadium last week during a Houston Texans preseason game.   Checkout the guy in the [...]

Old Navy Shirt claims Texans were 1961 AFC champs

This T-Shirt, printed by Old Navy shows the Houston Texans, not the Houston Oilers, as the 1961 champions (Credit: ESPN) According to ESPN, clothing company Old Navy has recently sold t-shirts claiming that the Houston Texans were the 1961 AFC champions. Texans 1961 AFC champs? Old Navy says so

According to shirts being sold by Old Navy, the Houston Texans won the 1961 AFC championship. Of course, neither the Houston Texans nor the AFC existed in 1961. A Houston team did win a championship that year, but it was the Oilers (who are now the Tennessee Titans), and it was the AFL championship. The AFL and NFL did not merge until 1970, at which point the league was divided...

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: Vikings Edition

The Minnesota Vikings came to Reliant Stadium to play the Houston Texans in the final preseason game for the two ball clubs. The Texans and Vikings started their second team offenses and defenses for this game. Both Teams moved the ball with rather significant ease, and the game turned out to be a shootout. At the end of regulation if you were to look at the stats alone it would...

Old Navy FAILS at printing NFL shirts

Old Navy has recently released a series of shirts called the NFL Team Champions Collection, in which they’ve come into some serious design flows. For instance Old Navy had a Houston Texans 1961 AFC Champions Shirt which was recently taken down due to error. The errors in the design were pretty significant in that the Houston Texans didn’t become a franchise until 2002 AND the...

Meet and Greet: The Texans Practice Squad

The cuts and claims appear to be done for the time being and the Houston Texans have set their 53 active roster and set up their practice squad for the 2012 season. There is actually one spot that is still open if the Texans choose to fill it, but for the time being there are seven players on the squad. Even though they are not on the active team, they are still an important part...

The 12 Year Old Houston Texans Won the 1961 AFL Title

A new shirt being produced by Old Navy states that the Houston Texans had won the 1961 AFC Championship. One problem, though. The Texans first NFL season was in 2002.
