They call them measurement games and the Houston Texans going into Foxboro Monday night fits that bill. For the 11-1 Texan, one would think it’s the 9-3 Patriots who would be breaking out the measuring tape. However, this is old hat to the Patriots; if they win then they were expected to, if they lose, the Texans would be on their way to the Super Bowl.  The Texans can send a message to the NFL by beating the Patriots, who are always are on national television and commonly thought of as the standard of which other teams are judged. The Patriots are everybody’s Super Bowl; this week they are Houston’s. Star receiver Andre Johnson, one of the senior players who have been the driving force behind the rise of the Texans, know that losing to the Patriots would be a big hit to the confidence of the other team in Texas. “It’s big,” Andre Johnson said, via CSNHouston.com.  “You know how big it is, biggest game in the history of this franchise.  It’ll be a big test for us and we’ll be ready to go.” “I think as long as we keep winning, every game is going to get bigger and bigger,” Johnson said. “When you’ve been somewhere you’ve never been before, everything gets bigger.  It’ll be a big game for us.  Everybody knows the significance of this game, so just get ready and we’ll be ready Monday night.”
