My Sports Rumors:
Cincinnati Bengals starting quarterback Andy Dalton wasn’t at practice today for what’s being called a intestinal virus. With it being only Wednesday and not an actual injury I wouldn’t be worried at all about him missing Saturday’s game. He’s pretty much just got a case of the *****, or maybe some nausea.
@GeoffHobsonCin: #Bengals QB Dalton not in early part of practice
Quarterback Andy Dalton was not at practice today due to illness in what is being called an intestinal virus. Bruce Gradkowski and Zac Robinson took the snaps as the team worked out at Paul Brown Stadium.
Dalton’s illness is being termed as day-to-day but it is expected that he will be back on Thursday. (Cincinnati Enquirer)

Andy Dalton was back in the locker room on Thursday morning and said he is ready to practice today. Dalton missed yesterday due to a bout of the flu.
“I feel great. It was a tough day yesterday, but I feel a lot better than I did. I’ll be out there practicing and be ready to go,” Dalton said. “It was just a one-day thing. It was kind of out of nowhere. But I feel good now...
Saturday's game against the Texans may be Andy Dalton's first-ever NFL playoff appearance but it will certainly not be his first time on the field turf of Reliant Stadium. Dalton won a pair of high school playoffs games at Reliant as the quarterback at Katy High School, just west of Houston. A few years later he lead TCU to a Texas Bowl win over the University of Houston...
Cincinnati Bengals rookie quarterback Andy Dalton missed Wednesday's practice with the flu, but is expected to be ready for Saturday's playoff game against the AFC South champion Houston Texans.
In fact, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said that Dalton should return to practice on Thursday.
Dalton, 24, is a Houston native and played collegiately at Texas Christian.
And when you have nothing to lose, you can be quite dangerous. Banks says Got to love that the Bengals, the team that I’m not even sure the city of Cincinnati truly appreciates, made the playoffs in what was supposed to be a take-your-lumps kind of year. A rookie quarterback in Andy Dalton isn’t supposed [...]
Cincinnati Bengals rookie Andy Dalton has shown a lot of poise and promise, but Cam Newton deserves the ROY nod.
I have this theory–some people don’t watch sports for the love of the game…they watch just to have something to argue about. And in my mind, arguing for Drew Brees to be MVP or Andy Dalton to be offensive rookie of the year is an example of that. There’s no doubt...
CINCINNATI BENGALS AT HOUSTON TEXANS
Bengals QB Andy Dalton (illness)
Jock to Doc take: The Bengals' starter missed Wednesday's practice due to the flu; however, he was back practicing Thursday on a limited basis. Coach Marvin Harris, according to the Washington Post, declined to say how much the rookie was able to practice, but he mentioned that, "He's fine....
• NFL.com’s Pat Kirwan: Texans-Bengals outcome rides on two rookie quarterbacks
The edge at quarterback has to go to Dalton, who is also going to be asked to carry much more of the offensive load than Yates. In Week 14, the Bengals settled for four field goals … and lost by one point. Dalton will need to make at least two touchdown passes this time around.
It will be a tight...
Andy Dalton and T.J. Yates weren't around for any of the miserable seasons the Bengals and Texans have had over the past two decades.
The Bengals needed this game and they fought hard, before falling just a little bit short. Andy Dalton completed 22 of 44 passes (50%) for 232 yards without a TD pass or INT. He also carried the ball 4 times for 17 yards (4.3 ypc) in this game. Cedric Benson led the way for the Bengals on the ground in this game with 51 yards rushing on 13 carries (3.9 ypc) and he also caught...
The Cincinnati Bengals will try to bring things full circle on Saturday
Its been 22 years since the Bengals last won a playoff game -- and that win came over Houston, in Houston, 41-14 in a wild card playoff game on Jan. 6, 1991. A win Saturday in the same city in the same round ends a 20-year playoff drought -- and gives the Bengals their first road playoff win in team history....
The Bengals are leaving for Houston this afternoon for Saturday’s 4:30 p.m. kickoff against the Texans in the opening game of the NFL playoffs.
They head into the game in good physical shape.
S Taylor Mays (hamstring) and LB Dontay Moch (illness) are doubtful to play. Neither participated in Friday’s walk-through session.
The rest of the injury report has players that practiced...
