The Eagles reportedly are expected to release Michael Vick this week, although that does not necessarily mean it's over in Philly for the quarterback.
At $16 million a season, Michael Vick currently makes upper echelon quarterback money. But with his sub-par on the field production, Vick may not warrant that high a salary anymore. ESPN’s John Clayton indicated earlier today that the Philadelphia Eagles will likely release Michael Vick on Friday.
According to Birds 24/7, it looks like the Eagles will leave Vick on their roster past February 6th, which is Wednesday. It also sounds like that he could end up sticking around until after this week while head coach Chip Kelly continues evaluate things.
For weeks the Philadelphia Eagles have been contemplating what they will do with Michael Vick who is owed $45 million over the next three seasons.
Pro Football Zone via John Clayton is reporting that the Eagles will release Vick this Friday.
