Getty Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie has made it clear that an 8-8 season in 2012 would likely spell the end of head coach Andy Reid’s tenure in Philly. Reid agrees that they wouldn’t be happy with another mediocre season and indicated that he’s not worried about his job. “We surely wouldn’t be satisfied with 8-8,” Reid said Thursday after the Eagles finished the preseason with a 28-10 victory over the Jets. “I know we’re striving for far better than that. I think that’s the most important thing. I’m not sitting here and telling you that’s where I want to be. “I’m not worried about it. I understand the business. I have a very good relationship with Jeffrey (Lurie), so we go play. I’m not worried about all that stuff.” Reid says that he isn’t concerned with his contract now. “I don’t even care about that,” Reid said of his contract. “I care about this football team and winning games now and playing well and working hard. That stuff, that’s not on my mind.” Reid confirms that he has a great relationship with Lurie. “I’ve got a great relationship with Jeffrey,” Reid said. “Listen, his expectations are high. My expectations are high. Let’s go play. Let’s go control what you can control, and that’s playing the game.”
