When Michael Vick got concussed in the second quarter of the Eagles’ 38-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, first it is a real shame for such a gamer.
It might be a blessing in disguise for Philadelphia Eagle fans.
Not that Nick Foles will definitely be a World Beater, but the dude is 6’6”, 243 pounds, compared to Michael Vicks’ 6-0, 215 pounds.
Foles in size and stature is closest to Ben Roethlisberger’s size, who is 6’5” and 240 pounds.
Let me put it this way.
In nine games this year, Vick has been sacked 27 times.
In comparison, Big Ben has been sacked 18 times.
Furthermore, Tony Romo, at 6’2”, 17 times has been sacked and Eli Manning of the Giants, 6’4”, 12 times.
Did you see Foles hand off to LeSean McCoy?
It was like the Jolly Green Giant giving a biscuit to the Pillsbury Dough Boy.
Foles does not have Vick’s experience at quarterback, but was seen calling audibles in the Cowboys game.
I will not go as far to say the Eagles will beat the Washington Redskins on Sunday.
Like the Cowboys

Rick Burkholder, the Philadelphia Eagles athletic trainer has made it clear that quarterback Michael Vick isn’t even close to getting back on the field after suffering a concussion during last week’s loss to the Cowboys.
Vick is still only in “phase 1″ of a series of phases that he’ll need to get through in order to get back on the field.

Michael Vick isn’t expected to play tackle football this weekend, as the Eagles turn to Nick Foles while Vick attempts to recover from a concussion.
It’s uncertain when — or even if — Vick will return this season. If he doesn’t, there’s a chance that he doesn’t even return to Philadelphia. He’s shown flashes of brilliance at times in Philly, but the overall body of...
Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will miss Sunday's game vs. the Washington Redskins due to the effects of a concussion.

The remainder of the 2012 Philadelphia Eagles season should be all about whether or not Nick Foles is the future of this franchise. Assuming he plays for the rest of the season, there are some things we can look for in order to determine if he is, in fact, the future.
If there is to be anymore excitement generated by the Eagles, it will be due to the play of Foles and how it energizes...
Can Foles do what Vick can’t
Now that Nick Foles has been named the starter for the 3-6 Eagles in Sunday’s NFC East showdown against the 3-6 Washington Redskins, the Michael Vick Experiment should be officially over in Philadelphia. After Vick suffered a concussion last week against the Dallas Cowboys in a 38-23 loss, most fans wishes came true as Foles, like most backup quarterbacks...

Will Nick Foles be able to perform with the weight of the Eagles franchise on his back?
Michael Vick is still feeling the effects of a substantial concussion, and will not be ready for Sunday, and may not be ready to play for quite some time. That leaves the Philadelphia Eagles at 3-6 with their rookie QB Nick Foles set to take over the reins.
I’m sure Foles will try to say something...
Nick Foles practiced with the first team this week and stuck around for extra film work.
He's ready to make his first career NFL start for the Philadelphia Eagles.
All he needs now is to officially and publicly be named the starter. The Eagles again practiced another day without injured quarterback Michael Vick. The veteran has sat out since suffering a severe concussion in...
Respect to TerezOwens for publishing this picture of Nick Foles. Foles is set to start for the first time in his NFL career when the Philadelphia Eagles travel to D.C. to take on RG III and the Washington Redskins this weekend. Not a bad team to debut against seeing the ‘Skins couldn’t stop me on offense. Let’s just hope Foles doesn’t play like Dynamite.

We all know that football is a team sport and that to get a win, all phases of the game must come together to propel a group to victory. But come Sunday, it’s going to be all about the quarterbacks.

Meetings between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins are usually highly anticipated and contentious.
The first matchup featuring Michael Vick starting opposite Robert Griffin III should be even greater, but it looks like that'll have to wait.

Let the smart phans take it from here on Eagles Game Day Week 11... they know what's on the line for the Eagles down at Fed Ex Field today in a 1 P.M. start against the Redskins. It's basically NFC East elimination day for the loser.
