Last weekend, the Pitt-Bball team and the Steelers each lost. The Steelers went down on Sunday to the Ravens in a meaningless yet discouraging game. Pitt was crushed by Dayton and lost its team leader, possibly ruining its season.
Fast Forward one week. The game-days were flipped and the outcomes were, too (in a way). Both teams lost again, the Steelers in a wild-card matchup with the Jaguars, a game in which they came back from an 18 point deficit and still lost; and Pitt, who went in to #16 Villanova as an underdog and fought and fought and came up one point short. Both teams beat the spread. Both teams kept us interested until the final minute. But, both left Pittsburghers in a somber mood late Sunday after once again going 0-2 on the weekend.
