Cincinnati Bengals Blog:
Last year the Bengals signed Vikings FB Fahu Tahi to an offer sheet only to have Minnesota match it. With Tahi a restricted free agent again the Bengals are considering making another run at him.
The offer sheet last year would have been for a draft pick but this year there would be no compensation involved. Tahi originally began his career with the Bengals in 2006, when he was signed as an undrafted free agent. He spent most of that season on the practice squad until the Vikings signed him due to an injury to Tony Richardson.
Tahi took over as the Vikings’ starting fullback in 2008. The Bengals have Fui Vakapuna on the roster and Jeremi Johnson is an unrestricted free agent. The Bengals have long regretted losing him to Minnesota.
