NFL player announces retirement at restaurant

Defensive tackle Anthony Adams, who played four seasons with the 49ers from 2003-2006, called it a wrap on his career this week when he announced his retirement at a …wait for it… White Castle. Makes total sense to me. The former second-round pick signed with the Bears as a free agent in 2007. In nine career seasons, Adams had 10.5 sacks along with 214 tackles. After Chicago...

Anthony Adams Retired From The NFL At White Castle

YouTube.com Defensive tackle Anthony Adams was a serviceable, but not spectacular, NFL player. A second round draft pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2003, Adams played with the 49ers for four seasons, before signing with the Chicago Bears in 2007. Out of the game since 2011, Adams recently decided to officially retire at age 32. Happens all the time, right? Well, how many guys...

Jim Harbaugh is concerned about Colin Kaepernick getting too jacked

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is capable of being one of the most dangerous players in the NFL because of his ability to make plays with his arm and legs. Kaepernick has tremendous speed for his size, which causes defenses to underestimate him and just plain struggle to keep up. The Green Bay Packers could tell you how fast Kaepernick is, as he torched them for...

Zbikowski signs deal with Bears

The Chicago Bears have agreed to a one-year contract with safety Tom Zbikowski. The Bears announced the signing Saturday. The Notre Dame alum and professional boxer has appeared in 64 games with 25 starts over five seasons with Indianapolis in 2012 and with Baltimore from 2008 to 2011. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Zbikowski recorded 89 tackles, three interceptions, eight pass break...

How Brian Urlacher’s Departure Impacts the Chicago Bears

“Lip service.” Those are the exact words Brian Urlacher used to describe the Bears’ efforts to resign him. Granted, the lack of cap space and Urlacher’s recent rash of injuries put Phil Emery in an awkward situation in terms of how to operate in contract negotiations. But this disgraceful divorce from the 13-year face of the franchise will impact the Bears in this coming...

Bears sign D.J. Williams to replace Urlacher

According to Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears have signed former Broncos’ linebacker D.J. Williams to take over for Brian Urlacher. Williams was a heck of a player in Denver before he found trouble.  The Bears are now giving him a chance to turn things around. Williams, 30, was cut by the Broncos after a season in which he faced two suspensions, a six game suspension...

Browns add TE Kellen Davis

According to Nate Ulrich if the Akron Beacon-Journal, the Cleveland Browns ave signed former Bears’ tight end Kellen Davis.
