While it is always fun for the media to talk about Bill Belichick and Tom Brady and how dominant the Patriots have been over the past decade, there is only so much they can say about it.  Highlights from Super Bowl 42 will be a go-to move, but with two weeks off between the conference championship games and the Super Bowl writers need quotes.  They aren’t going to get any from the Patriots players.  The last time a Patriot decided to be funny in a press conference they were benched for the opening drive of a playoff game.  Luckily, we have the Giants and Antrel Rolle.  As we all know, Rolle loves to make headlines.  Unsurprisingly, he got the week off to a fun start on Tuesday. So there’s that. As Pro Football Talk pointed out, Rolle was also asked what his reaction was when he was first drafted by the Cardinals, to which he responded: “Like Jerry McGuire?” Normally Rolle is spouting off guarantees left and right or calling out teammates, but it’s early in the week.  Being in Brazi...

Patriots survive to reach Super Bowl

Tom Brady has the New England Patriots back in the Super Bowl. The Patriots beat the stunned Ravens 23-20 in the AFC Championship Game Sunday after Baltimore's Billy Cundiff missed a 32-yard field goal attempt with 11 seconds remaining that would have tied the score. Brady scored the winning touchdown when he leaped over the vaunted Ravens defense in the fourth quarter. His...

Bill Belichick on Rob Gronkowski's Injury: 'We'll See How It Goes'

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski's left ankle injury Sunday ranked high on the gruesome scale, but he has appeared to avoid serious damage. At any rate, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was asked Tuesday...

Flacco leads Ravens to 10 points, lead in third quarter

Tom Brady drove the Patriots down the field for a field goal on New England’s first possession of the second half. Not to be outdone, Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco drove the Raves down the field. He didn’t match the field goal though. On a third down, Flacco hit Torrey Smith for a 29-yard touchdown. That gave the Ravens a 17-16 lead. Baltimore rookie LaQuan Williams forced...

Patriots Take 13-10 Halftime Lead Over Ravens

Plenty of people expected a close game between the Ravens and Patriots, but they didn't expect it to unfold the way the first half unfolded on Sunday afternoon. The Patriots lead 13-10 at the half because they are making things happen in the run game. BenJarvus Green-Ellis churned up 50 yards on eight carries and scored from seven yards out in the second quarter. Tom Brady,...
