While the walls are closing in around us with each injury report, we can’t do much but laugh and hope for the best. Mathias Kiwanuka, who has a bulging disc in his neck and could potentially miss the rest of the season, was our best defensive player the first three games, so his loss on the field is, well, sort of devastating. But it gets worse. Keith Bulluck is doubtful with turf toe and is our best run-stopper. Osi…well, to be honest, does it matter if he plays or not?
Jay Cutler has to be licking his chops to get out there against a depleted Giants’ defense, and Julius Peppers has to be looking forward to teeing off on our two offensive tackles, who have been plagued by poor play and were both instigated into personal foul penalties last week.
But hey, you just never know, and that’s why they play the games. Would it surprise me if the Giants won tonight? Yeah, a little, but not really all that much. There is too much talent on this team for it to b...
