Comments on the Denver Broncos by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses): --- DENVER BRONCOS (6) Chris Berman (ESPN, 7) - Peyton Manning told us he was ready. He wasn't kidding. Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 7) - Peyton Manning played like he had never been away. He makes all of their weapons better. Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 5) - Manning and a much improved run defense. Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 7) - Was Peyton Manning's play really a surprise? Bob Glauber (Newsday, 6) - Peyton Manning is back, and all is right with the NFL once more. Nothing like seeing Manning running an offense, even if it's in a different uniform. Tremendous way to start the season with a win over Pittsburgh in a rematch of last year's wild card playoff tilt. Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 8) - The Broncos have more than Peyton Manning. After one week, they lead the NFL in sacks. Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 7) - Peyton Manning looks like Peyton Manning again, which means Denver's the team to beat in the AFC West. But keep this in mind: Five of its next seven opponents are 2011 playoff teams. Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 7) - That move to sign CB Tracy Porter as a free agent looks like an inspired decision heading into the Georgia Dome for a Monday night matchup. Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 5) - The Broncos no-huddle offense looks as dangerous as the Patriot version. Manning looked like a guy that threw for 5,000 yards last year rather than dealing with neck surgeries. The defense sacked Roethlisberger five times from five different players. John Lynch (Fox Sports, 7) - Call me a homer but two words, Peyton "Freaking" Manning. OK, three words. The Broncos looked really good against a really good team in the Steelers. Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 5) - Peyton Manning wasn't the only key offseason pickup. Ex-New Orleans cornerback Terry Porter showed his worth with an interception return for a touchdown that clinched a 31-19 win over Pittsburgh. Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 8) - Any more questions about Peyton Manning now? --- Online: http://bigstory.ap.org/NFL-Pro32 and http://twitter.com/AP-NFL

Of course there’s already a Peyton Manning cornfield maze in Colorado (pic)

According to a tweet from Cody Crouch, who, according to his Twitter profile, is a “helicopter photographer/reporter for the Denver Colorado TV news stations,” what you see above is perhaps the very first ode to new Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning in the medium of cornfield. Obviously, one member of the Colorado agriculture community is pumped up [...]

Peyton Manning feeling it in first win with Broncos (GIF)

Tonight, it was vintage Peyton. In his first game back in over a year after neck surgery – and his first as quarterback of the Broncos – Peyton Manning looked like the Peyton of old in leading Denver to an impressive 31-19 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. (Photo: AAron Ontiveroz/The Denver Post) Manning looked in complete control of the offense, directing the show in the no...

Video: Manning and RG3 Impress in Debuts

Making bold moves in the NFL takes courage. Whether it’s deciding to send an all out blitz on 3rd and long when you need a stop or it’s putting all your trust into a specific player that you feel can help your franchise win, it’s the bold moves that make or break a team. The Denver Broncos and the Washington Redskins were two teams who made bold moves this offseason and if...

Sports Corn Maze Madness: Peyton Manning & More!

The Broncos went against the odds and signed Peyton Manning this off-season. The guy went out and played a hell of a game on Sunday night and how does the Greeley, Colorado community reward him? With this corn maze. What is it with corn maze athlete tributes? We showed you the Marshawn Lynch maze earlier in the summer, but this is getting out of hand. Just name a sandwich after...

Von Miller Keeps Memory of Tim Tebow Alive in Denver By 'Tebowing' After Clinching Win in Peyton Manning's Debut (Video)

Peyton Manning helped lead the new-look Denver Broncos to a big win Sunday night. But while the new quarterback was establishing the start of his era in the Mile High city, one Broncos teammate made sure to pay respects to the team's old signal caller. Von Miller, the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2011, picked up where he left off last season on Sunday night. The...

Demaryius Thomas Big TD GIF

Is has been rumored that Demaryius Thomas was not on the same page as Peyton Manning coming into the season.  It won’t matter if he can just get his hands on the ball.  Again DT kills the Steelers with a long catch and run.  S/O to @sbnation for the GIF Vernon Davis Dunk Fail GIF Alshon Jeffery TD Bomb GIF

Broncos-Falcons Preview

Peyton Manning's first start with the Denver Broncos arguably exceeded many people's expectations for him. There's no shortage of expectations for Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons following their Week 1 performance. Manning and the Broncos visit Ryan and the Falcons on Monday night, with both quarterbacks looking to lead their teams to a 2-0 start. Returning from...

Recap: Peyton Manning Reads Dick LeBeau Like a Map, Steelers Lose

Peyton Manning is back, and it looks like he never left. If you want proof that he's the greatest quarterback of all time, watch his 4th quarter against the Steelers. He saw everything the defense was planning and he knew exactly how to stop it. The defense had no answer for the adjustments Manning was making on the fly. It sucks to lose on opening weekend, but half the teams...

Broncos 31, Steelers 19

DENVER -- Peyton Manning returned from a yearlong absence to lead four scoring drives, completing a go-ahead touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, and the Denver Broncos pulled away to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-19 Sunday night. The NFL's only four-time MVP, who missed his final season in Indianapolis after undergoing a series of operations to repair a neck injury, Manning...

How Ryan Leaf and Peyton Manning compared after two games

With Robert Griffin III being jerked off by pretty much everyone in the media right now thanks to his killer Week 1 performance I thought that it would be interesting to go back and see how Ryan Leaf and Peyton Manning faired in their first few games as a rookie. What you’ll see is that you definitely should not over react to such a small sample size. In Ryan Leaf’s first two...

Steelers Offense Atrocious On First Downs Against Broncos

If an offense can't move the ball on first down in a football game, it sets the stage for a long night offensively, and it puts more pressure on the quarterback to convert 3rd and long situations. That is exactly what happened to the Pittsburgh Steelers last night in their 31-19 loss to the Denver Broncos in the Sunday night opener. While the game plan was to possess the football...

Monday Morning Chrysler New Yorker

No redemption this time. Not the way I really want to start a season's-worth of recaps. That game was a great battle between Pittsburgh's possession and Denver's quick scores, and 1 mistake ended it. Down 6 with 3+ on the clock is usually a given, only Ben tried to thread a pass to a well-covered Manny Sanders. 6 points the other way and that was pretty much it....

49ers, Cowboys, Redskins, Jets start well

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By BARRY WILNER AP Pro Football Writer Yes, it's one game in a four-month season. Many teams that sizzle in September disappear in December. Yet the statements made by the 49ers, Cowboys, Redskins, Jets and Broncos cannot be ignored. Their performances screamed for attention in the opening week of the NFL schedule. Sure, their fans could be screaming...
