Comments on the Seattle Seahawks by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses): SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (22) Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 12): Trust me, these guys will push 49ers in NFC West. Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 18) Rookie Bruce Irvin has to take pressure off Chris Clemons on pass rush. Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 21): It's all about the QB in Seattle. Defense will be stingy and they can run ball, but to win more than Seahawks lose Matt Flynn has to come through. John Lynch (Fox Sports, 22): Team that finished strong in 2011 needs competition to bring best out of QB position; it hasn't been good since Pete Carroll arrived. Bob Glauber (Newsday, 22): Matt Flynn will have to earn starting job, but if he can't beat out Tarvaris Jackson, then Seattle's problems are bigger than we thought. Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 22): Even if Matt Flynn is an upgrade at quarterback, offensive line and receivers remain issues. Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/Si...

NWSB Insider report: Brett visits Seahawks Training camp 7/31/12

The VMAC Scoop Moving Seahawks training camp to Renton has bothered me since I first heard a rumor that it was going to happen. Why? Training camp is just better in Cheney There is no pay to park, there are no buses that move people to and from the facility like cattle in stinky over crowded school buses and most importantly the players are away from the distractions of everyday...

Seahawks to take their time with Sidney Rice

Getty Images As wide receiver Sidney Rice continues to recover from surgery on both of his shoulders,  the Seattle Seahawks plan on taking things easy with him. “This is going to be up to them. I know they’re going to protect me as much as possible,” Rice said. “Preseason is important but it’s not as important as the regular season. They’re going to take their time...

It appeared the Seahawks' interest had passed when they signed another veteran...

Seahawks sign Braylon Edwards to a contract

Last week Braylon Edwards worked out with the Seahawks during the same workout as Antonio Bryant. It looks like that Seahawks liked what they saw enough to sign him to a contract. i My man Dave Softy Mahler of Sportsradio 950 AM in Seattle tweeted it first. Adam Schefter from ESPN has confirmed the deal. Last year for the 49ers he caught 15 passes but was subsequently released...

Sea-Questions: Are the Seahawks better off with Tarvaris Jackson on the roster?

Whether he starts or backs up should we keep T-Jack? Even while battling through a pectoral injury in the 2011-12 NFL season, the Seattle Seahawks’ Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson was able to put up the best numbers of his career. He threw for 3,091 yards passing, and 14 touchdowns with 13 interceptions. While certainly not Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady type numbers, he was able to...

The Seattle Seahawks signed veteran wide receiver Braylon Edwards to a one-year deal. Edwards recently tried out for the Miami Dolphins following his Seahawks tryout. Three years ago, Edwards, 29, caught 53 passes for 904 yards and seven touchdowns for the New York Jets. He was limited to nine games for the San Francisco 49ers last season, catching 15 passes for 181 yards and no touchdowns.
