Comments on the Tennessee Titans by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
TENNESSEE TITANS (21)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 19) - Hope that Locker watching Hasselbeck will work like Rodgers watching Favre.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 20) - Last year they went 9-7, but were largely overlooked outside Nashville. I see a similar scenario in 2012.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 23) - Jake Locker era begins. Physically gifted, accuracy is only concern.
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 20) - Downgraded because of QB change. Like Locker but there will be growing pains.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 26) - Mike Munchak did terrific job keeping Titans competitive, but learning curve for first-year starter Jake Locker will be steep. Settle in. This may take a while.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 22) - Jake Locker takes over at quarterback but will be without best receiver for opener as Kenny Britt sits out one-game NFL suspension.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 19) - Jake Locker plus revitalized Chris Johnson could make these guys dangerous.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 14) - Chris Johnson back to old tricks in backfield and Tennessee's defense is better than advertised.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 15) - Titans are a quiet team that decided to start a second year QB Jake Locker instead of veteran Matthew Hasselbeck. There will be a learning curve and it may show up as an extra loss in the first half of the season. I do expect a solid season from Chris Johnson.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 18) - Wicked tough early schedule makes it difficult. Preseason really showed Mike Munchak is building tough, disciplined, talented and deep roster.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 21) - Looks like Jake Locker will be growing into starting position after not doing much to differentiate himself from incumbent Matt Hasselbeck during preseason quarterback competition.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 19) - Jake Locker has looked good so far - let's see if he can keep it up when games mean something.

Rookie wide receiver Kendall Wright will start week one for the Titans, as Kenny Britt serves his one game suspension for a DUI arrest. Wright, a former star at Baylor University, has played well in his first preseason with nine catches for 116 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy owners looking for an upside play at wide receiver this week may want to consider taking a flier on Wright...
Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson claims that he believes he is capable of running the 40-yard dash in under 4 seconds.
According to John Glennon of The Tennessean, Titans head coach Mike Munchak has indicated that rookie wide receiver Kendall Wright will start this week against the patriots.
Munchak says rookie Kendall Wright will be starting this wk.

For fantasy football purposes, I would start Wright against a weak Patriots secondary.
The Tennessee Titans begin their regular season as underdogs against the now legendary New England Patriots. Jake Locker and Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans will both need solid games in order for the team to compete in Week 1.
I hope everybody had a nice Labor Day weekend. The NFL season proper starts tomorrow, and the Titans of course kickoff their season Sunday at home against the Patriots. I'll have a post or two up on what I expect from the Titans' 2012 season tomorrow and possibly Thursday as well, then I'll get into previewing the game. The Titans weren't idle over the weekend. After...
The Titans showed initial promise under Mike Munchak’s campaign of dressing nice and not giving sassback to your elders. Tennessee got off to a 3-1 start last season before settling right around the .500 mark for the rest of the season. Even though Tennessee had taken Jake Locker in the draft a year before, the team courted Peyton Manning aggressively in free agency, even going...
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Former Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt will be honored before the Tennessee Titans' season opener Sunday against the New England Patriots.
Summitt will be recognized as the "12th Titan" before the game.
Titans' owner Bud Adams will donate 25,000 to the Pat Summitt Foundation in an effort to raise awareness and find a...
From the Tennessee Titans "Music City Miracle" to an extra point blocked to prevent a tie game, NFL special teams play an important role in determining a team's ultmate success, right? Well maybe not so fast.
Week One Preview: New England Patriots at Tennessee Titans
The NFL season got underway on Wednesday night, and fans around the country rejoiced as football had finally returned. The Cowboys 24-17 win over the Giants, though, was just the tip of the iceberg for what is expected to be an exciting first week of football. The Patriots are getting back to work with a Sunday matinee in Tennessee, but Tom Brady and company are more than prepared...
