A person with knowledge of the agreement says offensive lineman Leonard Davis has reached a deal with the Detroit Lions.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Monday because the team has not made an announcement. Davis has started all 155 games he's played in during his 10-year career, but was cut by Dallas before this season, part of a handful of moves that saved the Cowboys room under the salary cap.
Arizona picked Davis second overall in 2001 and he played for the Cardinals for six seasons before spending the last four with Dallas.
Detroit is coming off an open date and will play Chicago next week. The Lions are 6-2, but they've had occasional problems protecting quarterback Matthew Stafford.
